Max Ndiaye 2023 6’4 Spring Creek Academy, TX (Team United Texas 2023 Yellow)
Max is a dynamic wing who has a real ability to punish the defense off the bounce from anywhere on the court. I was blown away with how tight his handle was and how he used it as a weapon in the full court. He stepped into deep three pointers off the bounce, and seemed to be hitting shots from all over the court. He as great at using two dribble moves back to back and shifting his opponents weight and then exploding to a spot and calmly rising over his defender. You can tell Max has spent a lot of time on every inch of the floor, he is incredibly comfortable at taking whatever shot the defense gives him from all three levels. It was a pleasuere watching him manipulate defenses on the fast break and push the tempo when his team had the advantage on the break. What makes him a real weapon is his ability to go coast to coast, especially with the amount of energy he puts forth on the defensive glass. He skies for rebounds and immediately has his head up to run the fast break or make an outlet pass to a teammate. On two different occasions, I watched him follow up his own shot from three point range and grab the rebound for an easy put back attempt.
Nikk Williams 2023 6’6 Plano Senior High School, TX (Top Achievers Elite 2023)
Nikk is a dynamic wing who has the ability to do it all on both ends of the floor. He is the perfect prospect to slide into the three or four spot on your team with his ability to use his quick feet to get around defenders, but also stay with his opponents on the offensive end of the floor. His head always seemed to be moving in search of the next play or where the ball was going to end up next, which allowed him to play in the passing lanes. I was very impressed with his on court awareness on both ends, he made timely cuts to the rim that allowed his teammates to find him. At times, there were instances where you can tell he wanted to leak out for easy fast break opportunities rather than fighting on the glass, which is understandable on his Top Achievers team that boast three prospects over 6’6. In the future, I would like to see more awareness on the glass as well as his body language when shots do not fall for him.
Muizz Qazi 2023 6’4 McMillen High School, TX (Hard Hoops 2023)
Muizz is an athletic wing who thrives off his ability to get to the rim whenever he wants, and make all of the right passes ahead and decisions on the floor. I was very impressed by the athleticism he displayed on both ends of the court. He skied to finish lobs on the offensive end, and always seemed to be in the right spot to slide over and take a charge when necessary. I would like to see him work on his intensity on the defensive end, at times he got easily boxed out and seemed to be looking ahead to playing on the offensive end rather than securing a rebound and ending a defensive possession.
Corleone Dandridge Corleone Dandridge 6'5" | SG Sunrise Christian | 2024 KS 2023 6’4 Wylie East High School, TX (Better Off Living Dreams 2023)
Corleone is a sharp shooting guard who thrives off of his shot making ability from all three levels of the floor. I was very impressed with the ease in which he scored from beyond the arc off the bounce, he displayed a nasty side dribble into a three pointer which forced his opponent to fly past him. In transition, he has the ability to attack the defense in any way off the dribble. He loves creating space with his handle and getting downhill to attack the rim as well, he knows that the more success he has with scoring on the interior the easier it will be for him to score from beyond the arc. I was very impressed with the ease in which he scored the basketball from all three levels of the floor, he has all the tools to become a dynamic scorer at the next level.
Antoine Silvers Jr 2023 6’4 MacArthur High School, TX (Texas Footwork Bengals)
Antoine is an impressive two way player who defends the perimeter at the highest level, but has enough size and aggressiveness to play in the paint as well. He is great at using his quick feet and agility to keep his opponent in front of him while also using his athleticism to leap and meet his opponent at the rim. He had one of the nastiest blocks of the weekend in the paint, he high pointed his opponent and stonewalled him at the rim. On the offensive end of the floor, he is a dynamic player who knows how to set up his teammates with accurate passes. He can facilitate in the full court, which allows him to run the break at the highest level. He is a very intelligent player with very high basketball IQ. There were many instances in which he made the right extra pass to set up his teammate for an even better shot. I loved watching him manipulate the defense with his aggressiveness and his overall basketball awareness.
