NUMBER 1
Trey McKenney Trey McKenney 6'4" | CG Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2025 State #27 Nation MI (CG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
It’s hard to call a player ranked number 1 underrated, but on a national scale, he is. Most have him in the 20’s, but in 3 years he’ll be at least in everyone’s teens. Screenshot it. McKenney is so strong for his class and has one of the best mid range games for a freshman that I’ve seen in some time.
NUMBER 2
Darius Acuff Darius Acuff 6'2" | PG IMG | 2025 State #9 Nation FL (PG, Detroit Cass Tech)
Acuff is a tremendous young lead guard. He’s a menace on defense with his footwork and lightning fast hands. Even better, Acuff has a feel for turning his stellar defense into high high percentage looks at the rim in the open floor. He has range that extends beyond the arc and he can find lanes to the rim to create for himself and his teammates.
NUMBER 3
Lance Stone Lance Stone 5'7" | PG Detroit Renaissance | 2025 State #179 Nation MI (PG, Detroit Renaissance)
Stone is already elite, but keep in mind that he’s one of the younger 2025’s. He has one of the highest basketball IQ’s in the class, and as he fills out physically, it’s nowhere but up for him as a player. Stone’s a silky smooth playmaker and possibly the best pure passer in the class.
NUMBER 4
Jayden Savoury Jayden Savoury 6'6" | SF Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2025 State MI (SF, Detroit Renaissance)
Savoury has a ton of upside as a player and a prospect. He already has excellent positional size and strength and a solid understanding of how to use them in certain matchups. Savoury is a plus shooter that also has the ability to break down an opponent in a 1-on-1 matchup. He can finish with power as well as with creativity.
NUMBER 5
Sharod Barnes Sharod Barnes 6'2" | SG Orchard Lake St, Mary's | 2025 State #365 Nation MI (CG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Barnes is flat out dangerous on the offensive end. He has a stutter step with the ball that consistently creates space. Barnes can shoot over top of a defender and can finish with both hands. He can be seen regularly slicing the defense with a pin point bounce pass and is probably underrated as a passer.
NUMBER 6
Markus Blackwell Markus Blackwell 6'1" | CG Warren Lincoln | 2025 State MI (CG, Warren Lincoln)
Blackwell has a tremendous overall game with a well rounded skill set. He can consistently bury jumpers both off the dribble as well as off the catch. Blackwell can create off the bounce for himself and for his teammates. He shows touch in the lane and has a mid range jumper that defenders have to wary of.
NUMBER 7
Jace Petree Jace Petree 6'4" | CG Plymouth | 2025 State MI (CG, Plymouth)
Petree had so much upside as a prospect. It’s obvious when watching him play, how well schooled he is in the game of basketball. Petree had an instinctual feel for the ebbs and flows of a game. He recognizes good looks at the rim, which helps him be one of the most efficient and consistent offensive players in the class.
NUMBER 8
Chris McLavish Jr Chris McLavish Jr 5'8" | PG Kell | 2025 State GA . (PG, Flint Carman-Ainsworth)
McLavish burst into the high school scene. There may not be a more explosive offensive player in the class. He has in the gym range and needs just the smallest amount of space to pop off his jumper. McLavish can catch fire at any time and put up points like rapid fire.
NUMBER 9
Phoenix Glassnor Phoenix Glassnor 6'0" | PG Warren De La Salle | 2025 State MI (PG, Warren De La Salle)
Glassnor has certainly proven himself early in his high school career, playing a key role in a Division 1 state championship run. With him in the backcourt, I wouldn’t be the slightest bit surprised to see De La Salle in the mix for more titles over the next 3 years. Glassnor is the type of player that other athletes like to play with, due in part to his court demeanor and unselfish play.
NUMBER 10
Darryl Thompkins Darryl Thompkins 5'9" | PG East Kentwood | 2025 State MI (PG, Michigan Collegiate)
Thompkins is an absolute gamer. You may watch and see other players that are bigger and faster, but most likely, Thompkins is beating them. He’s as tough as they come and is an extremely physical lead guard. He’s a 2 way player that will turn ball pressure into points.
