Carolina Crossover: Gamechangers (16U)
The PrepHoops Circuit continues to showcase a ton of talent across the Passion Region. Take a look at the Gamechangers from the 16U stage at the Carolina Crossover this past weekend.
Bradley Pearson – 6’0 Guard – Auburn Raptors 2024
Pearson was quite the game-changing floor general for the Auburn Raptors all weekend long as they went 4-0 in their debut on the PrepHoops Circuit. He was an aggressive downhill threat with a knack for creating and finding his big man, Trevone Palmer Trevone Palmer 6'5" | SF Bullock County | 2024 State AL , for easy buckets in the paint as well. He impressed in their final game against Stampede 2024 with a nice floater in the lane to end the game in sudden death as well. He’s an emerging guard to watch with this group.
Trevone Palmer Trevone Palmer 6'5" | SF Bullock County | 2024 State AL – 6’3 Forward – Auburn Raptors 2024
Palmer is another name to keep an eye on with the Auburn Raptors 2024 group. He was an athletic presence that showed he could finish around the rim in a variety of ways and with authority, finishing in double-figures scoring and rebounding the ball on a few occasions in their 4-0 run on the weekend. He’s got a strong frame he uses well to establish himself down low and make things happen in the paint area. As he improves his shooting ability, look for his stock to grow.
Jermaine Hines – 6’0 Guard/Wing – Elite Playmakers 2024
Hines was an impressive name with the Elite Playmakers 2024 group as he earned Gamechanger honors. He’s got a strong base that allows him to play the 1-3 spot on the floor as a slasher and downhill driver. He led the way scoring the ball for his squad on numerous occasions while also showing he can get others involved and defend at a high level. He’ll be exciting to watch on the PrepHoops Circuit going forward.
Quentin Bush – 5’7 Guard – NEB Elite 2024
Bush was one of two speedy guards in the NEB Elite 2024 that wreaked havoc all weekend long at the Carolina Crossover as a gamechanger. He’s a combo guard with a high IQ for knocking down shots off the bounce and making plays for others off the bounce with his quickness and finish ability around the paint area. He didn’t let his size slow him down much as he showed he could make an impact as they went 3-1 on the weekend.
Thomas Cole – 5’6 Guard – NEB Elite 2024
Cole was another guard in the NEB Elite 2024 backcourt that let his play do the talking as a gamechanger this past weekend. He’s a prospect that is a lot more deliberate about getting to the paint and making things happen than his counterpart and did well to create free-throw opportunities in that role as well.
Nick Chang – 5’7 Guard – Stampede 2024
Chang is an emerging floor general that’s still learning when to deal and when to score the ball, but it’s what truly makes him a gamechanger at the same time. He keeps his dribble alive constantly and looks to create scoring opportunities for himself and others using his speed and quickness with the ball. He’s one name to watch with this group.
Zachary Brown – 6’0 Forward/Wing – Stampede 2024
Brown is a nice blend of physicality and energy for the Stampede 2024 group that sets quite the tone on both ends of the floor for others to follow. He’s got good size to play inside and out and isn’t shy about creating contact on either end of the floor to create advantages/disadvantages on the floor. He plays with a tremendous motor as quite the gamechanger with this squad.
