Ryan Nutter Ryan Nutter 6'3" | PG Dublin Jerome | 2023 State OH (2023) – G 6’3 – Dublin Jerome – Nova Schmitz 17u
I saw no one this weekend play harder than Nutter did. Was on the floor multiple times and was flying all around the floor. He is also very well skilled as he has a nice jumper. He has great footwork and patience in the lane. Nice fadeaway game. He makes one eye-opening move offensively a game.
Jonathan Powell Jonathan Powell 6'5" | SG Centerville | 2024 State #164 Nation OH (2024) – G 6’5 – Centerville- Wildcat Select 3SSB 17u
Powell is a name you might have heard of at this point as this kid is blowing up this summer for good reason. A super long player that can shoot it. Powell is playing up and seems to be playing better at this level. He comes in as a sniper from deep and then has nice athleticism to start making other plays when people only respect him as a shooter. Powell is a name you will need to remember.
Solomon Callaghan Solomon Callaghan 6'0" | PG Wadsworth | 2023 State OH (2023) – G 6’1 – Wadsworth – Ohio Buckets Turf 17u
Callaghan is nice. A 6’1 guard but has great size and strength that allows him to be a bully. He has a very nice jumper. I love this kid’s back-to-the-basket game. He puts smaller and even bigger guards on his backside and puts them in the basket. He has nice touch around the rim. He also has a lethal fadeaway jumper that is unblockable. I really like what he does off the ball with setting up cuts.
CJ Hornbeak CJ Hornbeak 6'2" | SG Toledo St. John's | 2023 State OH (2023) – G 6’2 – St. John’s Jesuit – Nova Schmitz 17u
Hornbeak brought game-winning defensive energy this weekend. He got the game-winning steal for Nova that lead to a game-winning bucket for their win over Buckets Turf. He was in defender’s shorts all game long and put a great amount of effort in when on the defensive end. He does a great job of constantly poking at the ball and switching his feet so the offense can not read him to make their moves on.
Arness Lawson Arness Lawson 6'1" | PG Pickerington North | 2025 State #306 Nation OH (2025) – G 6’1 – Pickerington North – All-Ohio Red 15u
Lawson was very nice this weekend for Red because of his activity on both ends. He was all over the place. Got a lot of steals and was bringing a lot of defensive pressure and set the tone early in the game I saw him play against the Buckets. Did a lot of dirty work and cleaned everything up for Red.
Kyler Daugustino (2023) – G 6’1 – Alexander – Mid-Ohio Pumas Gold 17u
Daugustino is a player that you fall involved with right away with his hustle and competitiveness. He plays his tail off. He also is a very good player on top of that. He is a sneaky good athlete and gets to the rim with ease. Not afraid of jumping with anyone. Has a very good touch and finishing ability around the rim.
