While they aren’t as loaded to the brim as Bergen or Bosco, they’ve got four key players returning who should be on the radar of fans and college coaches heading into the summer months and during their senior years.
Precise Clark Precise Clark 6'8" | PF Paramus Catholic | 2023 NJ | 6’8” | F | Paramus Catholic
Clark is a big bodied forward who hits the boards hard and has a soft finish around the rim. Keeps active on defense and can alter the trajectory of shots on the regular. He can run the floor pretty well for a big man and also can get up to block shots and throw down dunks. He flirted with double-doubles in nearly every game and had big games vs Teaneck(25&15), East Orange(18&10), Northern Highlands(21&15). He had nearly 80 blocked shots as a junior. A strong summer and senior year should have Clark receiving interest from a plethora of D3 schools and also serious eyes on him from regional D2s.
Niko Gomez | 5’10” | G | Paramus Catholic
Gomez had a breakout season for the Paladins as a junior. A quick guard who’s at his best in the open court. He attacks the basket fearlessly and finishes well through contact. He can hit it from deep and facilitates well. His best games as a junior were against Paramus &Ridgefield Park(20) and DePaul(16). D3 schools should be checking in on him—He’ll be battle tested given PC’s place in the Big North United division.
Jack Diamond Jack Diamond 6'4" | SF Paramus Catholic | 2023 State NJ | 6’4” | GF | Paramus Catholic
Diamond is a hot handed shooter who’s a versatile player. He can hit it from deep when he gets hot and he’s also comfortable playing under the basket and finishing with contact. He came into his own later in the season, posting his best games. He had 26 in the Bergen Invitational Tournament final vs Paramus High and 20, including 5 threes, against Seton Hall Prep in states. D3s from around the Northeast would benefit from a player like him in their program.
Justin Bonsu Justin Bonsu 6'2" | CG Paramus Catholic | 2023 State NJ | 6’2” | G | Paramus Catholic
Bonsu showed some flashes as a junior. While he can hit shots from beyond the arc, he’s at his best attacking the basket. Plays trademark “Jersey Defense”…He had 19 vs Pascack Hills and 16 vs Group I Champions Paterson Charter. Also chipped in 16 against North Star Academy. Plays AAU for East Coast Rivals. D3 schools should check in on him as the summer progresses and his senior year unfolds.
