The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop 4 brings us to Phoenix Arizona for the Bash In the Desert. The event featured over 80 teams from around the Western Region. The event featured teams from 15U – 17U. In this article, we take a look at some of the top 2025’s at the event.
Latavious Morris Latavious Morris 5'8" | PG Atrisco Heritage | 2025 State NM 5’8 PG Rebels Elite (#4PHNM 2025) – Morris is about to become a member of my all Showtime team. Lights go on, he goes off. The PG played up this week, but that didn’t stop him from impacting games using his wiggle, to separate for deep threes and 1 v 1 breakdowns.
Lenny Washington Lenny Washington 6'4" | SG Organ Mountain | 2025 State NM 6’4 SG Rebels Elite – Washington was a revelation. I saw him play a couple games, and he started growing on me as the weekend went on. He’s a long wing with prototypical size for the position. He shoots it well from behind the three-point line and showed enough explosion and slashing to get be opponents and finish at the rim.
Tayvion Wilson 6’0 PG Prominent Elite – When they start bringing out the film crew for you, that’s usually a sign that you can play. Wilson did not disappoint his followers this week. The PG has high-level wiggle and was able to shoot the ball accurately from behind the arc both in catch and shoot situations and off the bounce.
Trey Stone PG Gamepoint – There is nothing physically imposing about Stone, however when watching him play, this kid just kept getting by people. Stone was able to use the bounce to get by defenders seemingly at will. He did a good job of using angles to get to the basket and then showed the ability to finish.
Mason Abittan Mason Abittan 6'6" | SF Red Rock Academy | 2025 State NV 6’4 SG Prominent Elite – I’ve seen Abitan in action quite a bit over the past year. Known as a shooter, it was his defense that impressed me. Abitan played some wing D, defending ballhandlers in space, and was able to use his size to alter shots down low. An emerging two-way player, Abitan knocked down threes and scored by slashing to the rim.
Julius Brower 5’10 SG IE FIre – Brower was already featured as a top shooter, however, the young guard showed more than just sniping ability. He was able to get by opponents off the bounce, as well as finish in transition.
