The focus today is not a big name program like Nebraska Supreme or OSA, but still has a large amount of talent, the Malone Fastbreakers based out of Lincoln. These young men all play for the Lincoln High Links at the High School level and could put the city on notice, with the help of Collin Nick Collin Nick 6'5" | PF Lincoln High | 2023 State NE , this fall.
Marcellus McCulley | Lincoln High | Guard | 6’2″ 170lbs | Class of 2023
“Dynamic jumper” was the description given for Mcculley. He is a rim attacker with multiple ways of finishing. He has the skillset to pull up from mid range and the three point line with confidence and get buckets. Averaging 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists a game for the Fastbreakers, McCulley knows how to score and does a great job of penetrating and kicking to open teammates. Only averaging a little over 4 points a game last year for the Links, McCulley’s aggressive mentality and athleticism could burst on to the scene this summer then into fall.

Vince Garrett | Lincoln High | Forward/Guard | 6’3″ 180lbs | Class of 2023
Garrett is averaging 22 points and 8 rebounds a game for the Fastbreakers this spring. His motor keeps him extremely active on both ends of the floor. He has an above average mid range game and great rebounding instincts when the ball is on the rim, plays bigger than his size. Garrett has good length and athleticism that have already created a few poster dunks during the season. Garrett does not have the explosiveness off the dribble that McCulley has but he has a very smooth element to his game and ability to get good looks at the basket. He averaged over 9 points a game last year for the Links and should become one of their top players heading into the 2022-2023 season. Garrett might be one of the more slept on talents in the state.

Alyice Hicks | Lincoln High | Forward | 6’4″ 170lbs | Class of 2023
Hicks was mentioned as the “Glue Guy” for the Fastbreakers. Averaging 8 points and 10 rebounds a game, he consistently is in that double-double range. He is the steady leader of the team who makes the right play from setting picks to proper rotations on defense. Hicks has high basketball IQ and is willing to defend anyone on the court, and defend them well. He leads by example and sets the tone for his team. As the offensive package develops, he could be a staple for any team.

Kui Diu | Lincoln High | Guard/Forward | 6’2″ 160lbs | Class of 2023
Diu is an example of great defense turning into offense. His length and motor disrupts many offensive opponents both with ball pressure and contesting shots. Diu is averaging 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks per game this spring. His constant pressure extends the length of the court and his defensive instincts challenges opponents into turnovers or bad shots. Diu could easily be one of the best defenders in the state and as his jump shooting develops, he could provide a real spark at the next level to any school.
