Alex Odam Alex Odam 6'3" | SG Piedmont | 2023 State AL 6’3 PG Piedmont 2023
Odam is an elite guard in the state who can beat defenses with his scoring or passing. With elite range on his jumper off the catch or dribble, Odam is an automatic floor spacer. Off the dribble, Odam is ultra crafty, plays at his own pace, and shows a high level of nuance when attacking defenses. His floaters, high glass finishes, and off-hand layups make him an effective scorer in the paint. Though he’s an excellent scorer, Odam may be the best passer in the state. His elite vision allows him to exploit gaps in the defense at any time. This, combined with his creativity, generates easy opportunities consistently for others. Pick and roll pocket passes? Check. Crosscourt to corner 3 check. Dribble drive behind the back dump-off pass? Check. Odam is a gifted passer with many ways to deliver the ball to teammates.

Antonio Jackson 6’4 178 SG/SF Blount 2023
Jackson is a dynamic athlete with a college-ready body who can impose his will as a paint beast. He Shows excellent run/ jump athleticism both in the open floor and in half-court situations- making him an elite lob threat and vertical floor spacer. Shows solid mechanics on his jumper and can knock down enough threes so the defense can’t sag off or clog the lane on him, further opening up his drive game and opportunities at the rim.
Brandon Fussell 6’1 PG Guntersville 2023
Fussell is a gritty guard who competes on both sides of the floor. On the offensive end, he always seems to take efficient shots; he probes with intention and anticipation. Has solid quickness and craftiness to find success at the basket with euro steps. Fussell shoots from the perimeter at a high clip, which allows him to get off-ball and operate as a traditional catch and shoot two guards when needed. As a defender, Fussell is engaged and can disrupt offensive flow as a point of attack defender. Shows a solid grasp of dodging screens, being disruptive in passing lanes, and striping ball handlers cleanly

Brayden Harris 5’6 PG Hanceville 2023
Harris’ explosiveness as a scorer earned him an honorable mention for the All-State 4A team. Though undersized, he can go toe to toe with anybody in an isolation situation due to his skills as a shot creator. Harris is a quick guard who can compromise defenses with dribble penetration, allowing drive and kicks or drawing fouls on defense. As a shot creator, Harris uses his quick first step to create space for himself and keep defenders off balance with a north and south style that minimizes their reaction times.
Bridges Simmons 6’2 SG/PG UMS Prep 2023
Simmons is an all-around guard and one of the more complete players in the state. With a 1st Team 5A selection to prove it, Simmons is a top-flight guard within the state. As a combo guard, he can score in many ways. He can space the floor as a stationary or movement shooter with a rapid-fire release. Simmons also shows solid fundamentals, footwork, and strength when finishing at the basket. He’s dynamic enough to be a threat in transition as a one-person fast break or can get off-ball and create a good look for himself with movement. As a playmaker, he can effectively serve as a secondary ball-handler and distribute shots when called upon. Defensively Simmons can defend both guard positions, clog passing lanes, and rebound at a high level for his position.
