The summer provides a great opportunity for players to move up the rankings and the rising sophomore class is no exception. Here are the 2025 prospects who could take a big jump this summer.
Mekhi Ragland Mekhi Ragland 6'10" | C Berkmar | 2025 State #400 Nation GA , 6’6 PF DePaul
Ragland has the opportunity to have a big summer with the PSA Cardinals with his ability to play down low. The 6’6 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to get position in the paint and has a nice touch around the basket. Ragland sets good screens in the half court and has a nice touch on his free throws. He is tough to box out on both ends of the floor and holds his ground in the post. Ragland will team up with Darius Adams Darius Adams 6'4" | SG La Lumiere | 2025 #32 Nation IN , Omari Moore Omari Moore 6'3" | SG Hudson Catholic | 2025 State #245 Nation NJ and David Munro David Munro 6'7" | PF College Achieve | 2025 State NJ for the PSA Cardinals, which will help him grow as a player this summer.

Loughlin is a prospect to keep an eye on this summer with his ability to knock down shots from behind the arc. The 6’4 guard is a sniper as he can knock down jumpers and bunches and has a smooth release on his jumper. Loughlin moves exceptionally well off the ball, creating open shots and layups for himself. The ball does not stick in his hands and is an underrated rebounder. Loughlin is a sharpshooter who could see his stock rise this summer with his three-point shooting.

Hidalgo has the opportunity to have a strong summer with Team Final after a solid debut campaign at Paul VI. The 6’4 guard makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and finds his open teammates in the half court. Hidalgo has a nice handle, which he uses to get by his defender and finish around the rim. He is more than just a slasher as he can knock down jumpers from behind the arc and has a nice release on his jumper. Hidalgo’s combination of shooting and passing is something that will help his stock during the summer.

Hudson should have a strong summer with the Hilltoppers as he gets the chance to play both guard spots. The 6’1 guard has a good handle and a lightning quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and get to the rim. Hudson is a crafty finisher around the basket and does not mind contact. He can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc and plays with quick hands on defense. Hudson’s ability to play both guard spots is something that will help his stock this summer.

Philemon is a prospect to watch this summer as he has the potential to break out. The 6’4 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he is a strong finisher and can hit shots through contact. Philemon has a nice handle and can score in the mid-range. He is an underrated passer and has the athleticism to defend multiple positions on the floor. Philemon is a slashing combo guard who has the chance to have a big summer with WeR1.
