Robert Miller Robert Miller 6'11" | C Pasadena Memorial | 2024 State #64 Nation TX 2024 6’9 Pasadena Memorial High School, TX (TJ Ford Basketball 2023)
Robert is a high level prospect with the ease in which he dominates his opponents in the paint, but also the agility he displays and the natural touch he has from range. He is an effortless scorer off the bounce, who uses his size and athleticism to get wherever he wants to on the court, and simply rise above his opponent. He showed an ability to truly score off the bounce from all three levels, and is dominant in the post; both fading away and also backing his defender underneath the basket. He is an athletic freak with the agility, natural bounce and the way he moves laterally. I was blown away with how easy he made everything look on both ends of the court. On the defensive side of the ball, he is an elite rim protector who knows when to slide over as a help defender and reject shots in the paint, chase down his opponents on the fast break and even contest jumpers on the perimeter. He has all the tools to be an incredibly effective prospect who looks like he can be molded into any kind of basketball player imaginable with his size.
Trey’Dez Green 2024 6’8 East Feliciana High School, LA (LA Broncos 2024)
Trey’dez is an athletic freak standing at 6’8 with the ability to move like a guard and throw down dunks like a power forward. I was blown away by his agility on the court paired with his bounce and overall basketball IQ. He knows when to attack the defense in the midrange or getting downhill when he has the big man out of position and knows no one who is going to step up against him has a chance to stop him. I was very impressed with his consistency with his back to the basket, and showed very consistent post moves and knows to go quickly to catch the defense off guard. On the defensive side of the ball, Green has all of the tools to effectively defend positions 3-5 at the next level with his ability to move his feet and bump his opponents off their spots down low. He is an intense on ball defender who thrives at using his length to harass ball handlers, even when switching onto them for a short period of time. Green is a prospect that you need to remember the name and be sure to keep tabs on over the next two years!
Chiang Ring Chiang Ring 6'8" | C Park Center | 2024 State #276 Nation MN 2024 6’9 MPLS South High School, MN (Minnesota Spartans 2024)
Chiang is an athletic forward with all of the tools to become a dominant forward at the next level with his ability to move his feet and fight in the paint. I was very impressed by his nonstop energy that he displayed, he has an incredibly high motor that allows him to consistently fight for positioning and run the floor for easy opportunities. He has great defensive instincts to come over as a help defender, and is great at using his length to high point the ball to come away with blocks and rebounds. His length allows him to have an opportunity on throwing any shot that gets taken in the paint far into the stands. I was very impressed by his ability to do all of the dirty work down low, while also playing at the high post and alongside another 6’10 big man. He has a high basketball IQ that allows him to pick his spots on where he wants to attack.
Dapriya Briggs 2024 6’6 Ridgepoint High School, TX (Next Level Elite 2024)
Dapriya is a consistent big/wing player who can play across all three levels of the floor on both ends of the court. He is great down low, but has quick feet that allows him to defend players on the perimeter. He is a very aware defensive player, who willingly boxes out an opponent every time a shot goes up. He knows how to end defensive possessions by snatching a rebound. I was very impressed by his ability to play down low, but also pick apart the defense with his passes up the court. He consistently made the right outlet passes after snatching defensive rebounds. He made two picture perfect 3/4 court passes that hit his teammates in stride as the streaked down the court for easy fast break opportunities.
Sam McKinney Sam McKinney 6'6" | SF Buda Johnson | 2024 State TX 2024 6’6 Johnson (Buda) High School, TX (ATX Force 2023)
Sam is a skilled forward who finishes at a very high level underneath the basket. He displayed great consistency at the rim, and finished well on either side of the basket. I loved watching him manipulate his defenders with his back to the basket. It was fun watching him work on the offensive side of the ball. I was impressed by his handle out of the triple threat, he was great at getting into the teeth of the defense with an explosive and purposeful two-three dribbles. I was very impressed by his body control when getting downhill, he knows how to contort his body to get out of the way of his opponents and getting around his defenders. Johnson is getting some real prospects on their hands in the 2024 class. I loved the one-two punch that he and Jaxson Vandegarde have, and I am excited to watch them take over their district over the next two years!
