Debaba Tshiebwe Debaba Tshiebwe 6'6" | PF Central Catholic | 2023 State PA | 6’6” | F | Pittsburgh Central Catholic
One of the top post players in the WPIAL last year as a junior will be leading the pack as a senior. A physically imposing player with a mature physique that is still filling out, Tshiebwe is a very tough player to defend in the post. He has an expanding skill set and his footwork continued to improve throughout his junior season. He’s got a high motor and as he continues to develop into his senior year, he will be even more difficult to stop on both ends of the floor. He’s a shot blocker and hits boards hard. He played some of his best basketball of the year in the WPIAL 6A Semifinal defeat to Fox Chapel, carrying Central on his back through much of the see-saw defensive battle. Scholarship level player who will continue to fill out and become tougher in the post.
Sam Kelly Sam Kelly 6'5" | PF Allderdice | 2023 State PA | 6’5” | F | Allderdice
Kelly is a versatile athlete who plays multiple sports for the Dragons. On the floor he ‘s a very difficult matchup. He’s got the ability to beat players off the dribble and finish at the rim, he can play with his back to the basket and he’s also got range beyond the arc. He handles the ball well and can play multiple positions. Plays AAU with PK Flash. High Academic schools should be very interested in Kelly and many of his ‘Dice teammates. He’s one of the more complete forwards in the region for the Class of 2023.
Bryson Kirschner Bryson Kirschner 6'4" | PF OLSH | 2023 State PA | 6’4” | F | Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart
Kirschner has played a supportive role in the frontcourt on the back-to-back state championship teams for the Chargers, who run primarily through their electric backcourt. He has some skills offensively, but they don’t always shine through because of that guard heavy focus. His biggest contribution to the OLSH cause is on defense. He’s a tough defender with good athleticism. He’s patient and keeps his center of gravity low so he doesn’t get drawn in by a defender who can fake and drive past him. Regional colleges should have interest.
Travarese Rowe Travarese Rowe 6'3" | PF McKeesport | 2023 State PA | 6’5” | F | McKeesport Area
Rowe is an athletic wing who’s a high flyer. He works hard on the offensive glass. He’s capable of playing in the post and backing defenders down but can also take opponents out on the wing and beat them driving to the basket. He finishes strong at the rim. A strong summer and senior year could see PSAC and WV D2s take a serious look.
