Every spring on the Grassroots Circuit you come across a few new names to add to your database. This spring seems to be no different at all here at Prep Hoops. Let's take a first-hand look at some players we happened to see here during the past few months and caught some attention. Look for these players make some solid showings in the 2023 Palmetto State Rankings in the near future.

[player_tooltip player_id="1439787" first="Nolan" last="Paladugu"] - Shannon Forest (Greenville) (pictured on front)

I had heard about Nolan in the past but, had never seen him play yet live. I wasn't disappointed at all with his play. Paladugu does all the things to help your team win games. He's a vocal leader on the floor and really understands a role on the team. Nolan a left-handed guard was able connect on some perimeter jumpers and was always ready to receive the ball. He constantly brings effort to the floor and seems very coachable.

[player_tooltip player_id="1421750" first="West" last="Kellet"] - Woodmont HS (Piedmont)

Kellet grabbed my attention playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2078755' first='Upward' last='Stars Upstate']. Kellet was able to finish on both ends of the floor if it was scoring the ball or grabbing rebounds on the other end. West is a deceptive athlete and at times likes to set up shop out in the corners. He brings a tough- minded attitude to the floor and does a good job of handling the ball up the floor in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="1397964" first="Brykel" last="Washington"] - Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS

Brykel was very instrumental in helping the Bruins get to the Class 3A State Championship Game this past season. Washington has great length to be disruptive in the passing lanes while picking up several deflections along the way. He brings a great attitude and hustle to the floor at all times. Brykel can fill the lane in transition when he's not knocking down perimeter jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1421748" first="Nykel" last="Franklin"] - Wade Hampton HS (Greenville)

Franklin plays a bit off the grid on the Grassroots Circuit with Team Static and Next Level Elite. Nykel a left-handed wing player can really make some tough shots. Franklin has a nice-mid range game from 15-17 feet.
