Here’s a look at the top performers for Team Oregon on the day.
Samaje Morgan Samaje Morgan 5'9" | PG Churchill | 2022 State OR , Churchill
If there had been an MVP named for Team Oregon, it would have been Morgan who led the team in scoring with 26 points. He was very aggressive on the offensive end, using a good combination of getting to the hoop and converting and hitting from the outside – he canned 4-for-6 from three-point range. There usually isn’t a lot of defense played in all-star games but the College of Idaho commit was active with his hands on D.
Donatello Tupper Donatello Tupper 6'4" | SF Roosevelt | 2022 State OR , Roosevelt
One of the top finishers in transition in the state, Tupper showed plenty of that at WAVOR. Especially in the second half, the 6-foot-4 swingman got loose on the break and got himself in position to catch and throw down some impressive dunks. He also did a solid job on the defensive glass and his ability to rebound and immediately get the ball up the floor led to him dishing out a team-high-tying four dimes. He remains unsigned.
Caden Harris Caden Harris 6'4" | SG Summit | 2022 State OR , Summit
Harris didn’t shoot a particularly high percentage, but he got good looks and canned some threes well past the college three-point line, shooting 4-for-9 from distance. He used his tough 6-foot-5 frame to create off the dribble and keep the ball moving to other teammates for scoring opportunities. Harris has the right combination of size and skill to potentially be an immediate contributor at Chico State.
Malik Ross Malik Ross 6'0" | CG Tualatin | 2022 State OR , Tualatin
Ross picked his spots during the game but ended up doing what he does best – get to the basket and draw contact. If the 5-foot-11 guard didn’t finish through the contact, he got the whistles for the opportunities at the free throw line. Ross found himself open for one long three and he buried it for good measure. He finished the game with 12 points and remains unsigned and undecided when it comes to basketball or football at the college level. A full update will be posted soon.
Tane Prictor Tane Prictor 6'10" | C Mountain View | 2022 State OR , Mountain View
Discussing with several folks, we are pretty convinced 10-15 years ago Prictor would have been signed long ago to a Division I or Division II school. The 6-foot-11 big man didn’t get many touches, but when he did he posted up strong and finished with authority at the rim. Defensively he also had a couple of impressive blocked shots. We will have a full update posted soon but he’s currently been talking with D-II and JC programs in his recruitment.
Noah Ogoli Noah Ogoli 6'2" | CG Tualatin | 2022 State OR , Tualatin
A solid all-around game for the senior guard with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists on the night. Ogoli wasn’t able to get out in transition for easy scores as he usually does but had a couple of nice drives and did a good job of looking for teammates as well as his own offense. He remains unsigned but is looking at a number of D-II, D-III, NAIA, and JC possibilities. An update will be posted in the near future.
Bryce Dyer Bryce Dyer 6'5" | PF North Medford | 2022 State OR , North Medford
A last-minute replacement, Dyer seamlessly fit in due to the fact he’s the type of player that doesn’t require the ball to be effective. The 6-foot-5 forward did exactly what he did at North Medford all year, throw his body and chase the ball all around the place. When it was said and done, he had a team-high nine rebounds and also dished out a few assists late. He remains undecided on college but will be pursuing basketball.
