5) Judah Egbo Judah Egbo 6'7" | C Life Christian Academy | 2023 State VA | 6’8” | Life Christian Academy (#19 Overall)
Egbo is a guy to watch this summer with Team Loaded VA as he could blow up when coaches see his athleticism at his size as well as his high motor and improvement from people who have seen him before. He has improved a lot in his timing and that he has a better understanding of how to use his athleticism to his advantage, he finishes above the rim with authority and isn’t afraid to challenge guys at the rim on either end of the floor and he has decent touch out to about 18 feet. He’s going to have a lot of suitors looking at him as a rim runner and rim protector with good potential moving forward.
4) Adrian Myers Adrian Myers 6'5" | SF Massanutten | 2023 State VA | 6’7” | Massanutten (#15 Overall)
Myers is possibly the most improved player in the state after transferring to Massanutten, and to find out he’s only been playing organized basketball for a few years is very intriguing moving forward. The 6’7” forward has great length and is a big time athlete who moves well and plays above the rim, he can step out and catch and shoot from deep and he’s versatile defensively with his length and ability to move on both the perimeter and in the paint. He’s going to turn a lot of heads this summer and if coaches are willing to buy into his long term potential he could be very special moving forward.
3) Tyler Mason Tyler Mason 6'10" | PF Minnesota Prep | 2023 MD | 6’8” | John Marshall (#14 Overall)
Mason is one of the most skilled big men in the state of VA as he has good versatility offensively with his inside-out ability and his soft touch from all over the floor. He has good hands and feet in the paint as he can post up and finish in one on one situations, he can step out and is a good shooter from deep and he’s become more physical and explosive when he’s around the rim. His versatility makes him a tough guard and makes him impactful across the board for his team.
2) Callum Crossman Callum Crossman 6'8" | C Virginia Academy | 2023 State VA | 6’8” | VA Academy (#10 Overall)
Crossman is another high upside big man who has fantastic physical and athletic tools moving forward as he can flat out do a lot of things other players his size can’t do. He moves well and runs the floor and plays with a good motor and toughness, he has extreme bounce to the max and brings great energy with his above the rim finishes and he can protect the rim and block shots many would have no chance at getting to. As he continues to learn the game and develop his skill set he has a very high ceiling moving forward.
1) Carter Lang Carter Lang 6'9" | C St. Anne's Belfield | 2023 State #199 Nation VA | 6’9” | STAB (#5 Overall)
Lang has been one of the top bigs in VA over the past four years as he even started for STAB as an eighth grader, and his production and skill set makes him a must have when he’s on the floor. The 6’9” big has a mix of old school and new school to his game as he’s a big target in the paint and can post up and finishes well over the shoulder, he rebounds in the paint on both ends of the floor very well but he also has shown improvement in his ability to step out and knock down shots and make passes as well. He’s the type of big man you see in the Big 10 on the collegiate level with his broad size and skill set even if he isn’t the most athletic guy out there.
