#7 Derrick Brown (USAYG Lakers 2025 5’6″)
Brown is as relentless as they come. He is small but quick and extremely shifty with the ball in his hands. He loves that Iverson crossover (right to left) when he is in iso situations and it works to his advantage. When the ball is in his hands he is looking to create for himself off the bounce. When derrick is going good luck stopping him, he gets hot fast and has range on his 3 so you never know where to guard him at. He kept his team in many games this weekend and 1 game in particular he hit multiple 3s to send it to overtime and win them the game.
#5 Maddox Ellis (Impact Sports 2025 5’11”)
Ellis was one of the few players who showed a transformation over the course of the weekend. We had a chance to catch him twice and the first time he showed he was a volume shooter, wanted to score and got a lot of good looks. With his decent size frame he can fill it up quickly. Small enough to cause problems for bigger guards and big enough to attack smaller guards. The second time we seen him he was a facilitator. Absolutely love his flow to the game, his pace, how poise he is when h e plays on both ends. Maddox loves to run the pick and roll at the top of the key, he has great patience coming off the screen and manipulates the defenders really well. In result of this he is able to find his bigs and shooters with the exceptional timing on Ellis end. Very unselfish player that shows he will make the extra pass up ahead to his teammates for the easy finish.
#35 Matthew Velasques (Nike Pro Skills 2025 5’10”)
Matthew is at his best when he is going downhill and attacking the rim in transition. When he is the off ball guard he will fill it up quickly scoring back to back possessions at the rim despite the contact defenders give him when going up to finish it. A true competitor that competes until the buzzer goes off!
#22 Davis Currie (JEB Elite 2025 6’4″)
Davis a lefty that has a soft touch around the rim and in the paint from 15ft out. Davis does a great job of driving it to the rim to draw defenders in and kick it out to find his shooters. At his size he does all the little things needed to compliment his team and is a piece to them winning. From rebounds, cutbacks, charges, diving on the floor, counter ton Currie to get it done. Davis showed he is a excellent rebounder, passer, and finisher around the rim.
#24 Carmin Garza (Nike Pro Skills 2025 6’1)
Carmin at 6’1″ has a good wingspan and length on his frame and uses it to his full advantage on the defensive end by applying ball pressure and playing the passing lanes. Garza is a well rounded player that can get the job done no matter the task at hand. He can put it on the floor and finish with he best of them, shoot it from 3 if the defense backs off, or be the glue guy that goes to get rebounds and competes for his team.
