Raleigh Burgess Raleigh Burgess 6'10" | C Sycamore | 2024 State #130 Nation OH , 6’9 C Sycamore 2024 – Indiana Elite 16 U: Burgess is a part of one of the top 16 U frontcourts in the nation, as noted by my friend PD Web here, Burgess plays well off breakout star Flory Bidugna and sharpshooting forward Cooper Koch. Burgess was playing on the perimeter often this weekend and shot the ball from 3-point range at a much higher rate than the high school season. Burgess has improved his moment skills playing on the outside and his passing seems better with this Indiana Elite squad that emphasizes ball movement. Burgess is a clear high major target in the 2024 class for programs across the nation, but especially in the Big 10.
Peyton Heiss Peyton Heiss 6'3" | CG Jonathan Alder | 2024 State OH , 6’2 CG Jonathan Alder 2024 – Mid Ohio Pumas 16 U: Heiss and the Pumas went 4-0 this weekend with balanced contributions from their entire roster. You can check out their stats from this weekend here, as their balance helps them find ways to win tight games. Heiss played efficient basketball and shot the ball well from 3-point range in the game I watched. Heiss has taken steps as a creator as well, improving his ball-handling and pull-up shooting since early in the high school season. This Pumas squad has a lot of college talent for scholarship programs to take a look at and should aim to qualify for the 3SSB tournament at the end of the Adidas Gold season.
Talan Noyes Talan Noyes 5'10" | PG Kings | 2024 State OH , 5’10 PG Archbishop Moeller 2024 – Midwest Basketball Club 16 U: Noyes made some crucial plays for Midwest Basketball Club’s only win at the 16 U level this weekend in overtime against Wildcats Select. Noyes shot the ball well from the outside and his ability to get under opposing players skin actually is shown often. Noyes is like a little pest on the floor with a Chris Paul like style of doing the little things and bothering opposing guards. When he’s not frustrating the opposing point guards, Noyes looks to shoot from long range and drive and kick to open shooters. Noyes ability to get to the lane and kick out to a shooter was crucial for Midwest to score the basketball.
Jonathan Powell Jonathan Powell 6'5" | SG Centerville | 2024 State #164 Nation OH , 6’5 SG Centerville 2024 – Wildcats Select 16 U: Powell was the talk of the town on Sunday after he exploded for 44 points against Indiana Elite, leading Wildcats Select to a huge victory. Powell had the whole offensive arsenal flowing in that game, shooting the ball at an extremely high level. Whether it was spot-ups, pull-ups, fly-bys, you name it, Powell was knocking it down. It was the best offensive performance I’ve seen this spring and Illinois offered Powell on the spot.
Jacob Theodosiou Jacob Theodosiou 6'4" | PG Western Reserve Academy | 2024 #146 Nation OH , 6’3 PG Western Reserve Academy 2024 – Wildcats Select 16 U: Despite suffering a shoulder injury that took him out for Sunday’s action, Theodosiou was a Saturday standout and received an offer from Dayton based on his impressive play this weekend. Theodosiou is a bigger point guard standing at around 6’3, 6’4. With his size he’s able to rise up above smaller defenders and shoot the pull-up from the mid-range even without a lot of space. Theodosiou has a good feel at the PG spot, taking care of the basketball and getting his teammates involved. Theodosiou will be a high priority for mid major programs and should get plenty of interest from high majors as well.
