Griffin Elite 2025 Duo
Griffin Elite duo of Levi White of Waggener High School and Julian Miles of South Oldham High School are a dangerous pair. Saturday morning, these guys hit shot after shot from behind the arc. Once they got into their groove, they even began stepping out into NBA territory and knocking them down. When the other team started making a push, one of these two hit a shot to put them back up and seal the games away. Griffin Elite went 4-0, and the duo of Levi and Julian was a crucial part of the undefeated weekend.
Team 1848 2023
Team 1848 has an entire squad that could’ve made this list. In one of the games I watched this weekend, they hit 13 threes shooting well above 50% from the field. They were lights out at stretches of the game I saw but also were consistently lights out throughout the weekend. Their roster is loaded with ELITE shooters, from 6’2 SG Emmett Lawton Emmett Lawton 6'2" | SG Notre Dame Academy | 2023 State WI , 6’4 SG Vincent Vandervest Vincent Vandervest 6'4" | SF Bay Port | 2023 State WI , and 6’2 PG Hogan Demovsky Hogan Demovsky 6'2" | CG De Pere | 2023 State WI ; all were phenomenal this weekend. Hitting shots from off the bounce and the catch. What also stood out was their ability to move without the ball and get open looks, even with opposing teams focusing on not allowing threes.
Idius Robertson Idius Robertson 6'8" | C Peoria | 2022 State IL 6’7 PF IBA Illinois Stars 2022/Peoria Manual
Idius Robertson Idius Robertson 6'8" | C Peoria | 2022 State IL was my surprise of the week. Standing at 6’7, 250 pounds, Robertson would not be your first thought for a top shooter, but after watching him Sunday, I was very impressed with how he shot the ball. He hit three in an early morning win and wasn’t hitting anything but the bottom of the net on his makes. Idius is a confident shooter with lovely form; he runs well and knows how to locate himself after screens popping into open space behind the line. He was stellar, and even inside the arc, when he caught passes on the short roll or in the short corner, he could knock it down with an excellent shooter’s touch.
Khaleeb Obieke Khaleeb Obieke 5'9" | PG McQuaid Jesuit | 2025 State NY 5’9 PG Team Cray 2025/McQuaid Jesuit
Obieke is simply a shot-maker. He found ways to get to his spots on the court and knock down shots all weekend long. Watching him play, it was clear he understood where he’s best at because he constantly found ways to get to the same spots repeatedly, which allowed him to shoot at a high percentage all weekend. Once he got his midrange pull-up going, everything fell into place. He hit threes from range, and when it was time for a big shot, his team got him the ball and trusted him to make big shots.
