Cameron Keach-Freestyle Elite
Freestyle Elite was very short throughout the weekend but that didn’t stop Cameron Keach from handling business on the court. The 3-point specialist let it fly from long distance all day, most times without putting the ball on the floor. He is great about moving without the ball and finding open spots on the floor. Cameron also showed he is a capable ball-handler that doesn’t have a problem creating for ours. Solid balance from him and a player to keep on your radar.
Larry Mosley- Colorado Kraken
Larry Mosley is physically impressive. He’s bigger and strong than just about every other guard his age and he makes sure to use it to his advantage. He used his body to get into the lane for creative finishes at the rim, all while being able to notice when the double team was coming and making the right decision. As the day went on teams quickly came to realize he was a matchup nightmare forcing them to go to zone.
Reid Stemberger -Colorado Kraken 2026
Reid Stemberger is an AAU coaches dream player. He’s very unselfish, coachable and can make adjustments on the fly. There were times during the day I wanted Reid to just attack the opposing defender every play with his speed and ability to finish at the rim but time and time again he kept his composure and got his teammates involved until it was his time.
Tyson Smith-Prolific Elite
It’s hard to believe a 7th grader playing up with the 15U team could make an impact on the game while being the smallest on the court but Tyson Smith is here to prove doubters wrong. Tyson’s game is well beyond his years and he plays with a chip on his shoulder. He’s a pesky defender that doesn’t let his height get in the way of making it tough for opposing guards to score. Offensively Tyson showed he had endless range, forcing guards to have to defend him once he hit half-court. When that didn’t work, he started to blow past defenders into help for easy kick-out passes. Tyson is a player that we will hear about for the next six years and every single time will likely ring the same praise as he was one of the best standouts of any age on the day.
Camden Twedell-B&B Academy
Camden Twedell was by far one of the best players on the day. He is a hard-nosed guard that doesn’t mind doing any of the dirty work. No matter if it was guarding the opposing team’s best player or getting a much-needed rebound Camden made sure his team got it when the game was on the line. He is a player with a mature game and allows the game to come to him and you do not see that kind of patience.
Alen Avdic-Colorado Skills 2025
Alen Avdic from Colorado Skills was the biggest surprise on the day for me. He has a smooth all-around game which helped him average a double-double for the weekend. Alen can grab a rebound and set up the offense and just put his head down and get a bucket. He has a high IQ, always making the right play making his team one of the harder ones to guard. He was one best midrange players we had in the gym and was unstoppable once he got going. This Colorado Skill team with be a team to look out for as the summer comes.
