Saturday the following guards played wonderfully.

Alex Hyder Alex Hyder 6'3" | SG Cleveland | 2023 State TN (Tennessee Tigers 17u / Cleveland)  torched the nets in a riveting  tightly-contested Saturday evening matchup. Hyder scored 14 points, all in the second half, including four made three-pointers.  At one point Hyder’s defender looked to his coach with his hands up, aghast.  Hyder was not as effective hitting the three-pointer early in the day. It was a nice time for his success though, as the Tennessee Tigers 17u team was watched by an assistant coach from Belmont and an assistant coach from Lipscomb.

Jairus Terry Jr. (Tennessee Blazers 17u) put together a strong Saturday evening.  The powerful 5-foot-9 guard created his own slashing lanes and generally fed his teammates with guile.  Terry did not really look to score outside of the paint.  He often elected to feed the post or drive into the paint himself. He did struggle to finish over recovering forwards in transition.  Jairus Terry is the go-to scorer, alongside perhaps Isaiah Claybrooks Isaiah Claybrooks 6'0" | PG State TN .. Good in-and-out dribble. Strong. Probably 5’9” Good motor. Not selfish. He does recognize when the moment requires him to attack in isolation. His best finish Saturday evening came off an and-1 show-and-scoop layup.
