Michael Reyes Michael Reyes 6'4" | PG Barron Collier | 2023 State FL & Jose Rodriguez – Liberty Edge (2023)
Reyes and Rodriguez were quite the tandem in the backcourt for Liberty Edge, especially in a comeback victory against G1 Sports. Reyes was unstoppable through the second half as he showed off his ability to knock down tough shots off the bounce. Rodriguez took pressure off Reyes with his ability to move without the ball and knock down shots on the perimeter.
Tyrone Smith Tyrone Smith 6'2" | SF Lake Weir | 2022 State FL & Jordan Gimenez – Ocala Impact (2023)
Smith continues to lead the way for Ocala Impact with his ability to operate with the ball in his hands and make things happen in the paint as a scorer/rebounder. Gimenez was one of the top 3-point shooters in the division before it was all said and done. He finished multiple games with three or more 3-pointers made while showing off his ability to knock down 3’s off the bounce and off the catch.
Trent Lincoln & Max Sims Max Sims 6'5" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State FL – Pro Holmes Elite Navy (2023)
Lincoln was one of the more unselfish floor generals at the Proving Grounds with his ability to find others in space and make plays himself with his ability to finish around the rim and knock down shots. He’s a high-level guard that needs some attention from Pro Holmes Elite Navy. Sims is a sizeable threat at 6-foot-5 in the backcourt that’s a lights out shooter from behind the arc. His frame allows him to play multiple roles in the rotation as a prospect.
Andrew Carter Jr. & Yohandry Ortiz – SWFL Hoops Inc. (2023)
Carter is an electric prospect that turned heads in a number of ways with his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. He used his speed well to get by defenders and make things happen around the rim. Ortiz is a versatile wing prospect that can play multiple roles as he did with SWFL Hoops Inc. with his ability to knock down perimeter shots and make plays in the paint. They were quite the backcourt to deal with at the Proving Grounds.
Rodney Vilsaint & Damian Thompson – Team Trilogy (2023)
Thompson was quite the lead guard at the Proving Grounds with his ability to defend the ball and make things happen with his ability to get to his spots and produce. He was a top scorer in the 17U division with his ability to make things happen on all three levels. Vilsaint was a presence off the ball with his ability to score on the interior and knock down shots on the perimeter with his length. They’re two names to keep an eye on after dominating the 17U stage this past weekend.
