Joseph King 6–6 2025 Helena (AL) (pictured at top) Passes the eye test in a big way. Long and slender athlete looks part. Started out well in the Alabama Celtics win over Iowa Barnstormers. Scored the first few buckets of the game. Then like a lot of young players the game seemed to move away from him a little. I’m not going to say he was floating because he was still engaged. But probably could have been more assertive considering the way the game started. Is a good driver off the bounce and easily rises above defenders. He did get pushed around on the block. But he did not shy away from contact and competed hard. He wanted the ball in his hands at the end of a tight game. Iced it at the line. As his physical development helps decides his positional home. This is a prospect to keep an eye on.
Anderson Wilkin 6–2 2025 Northridge (AL) King wasn’t the only Alabama Celtic who played well on Saturday. Wilkin is a skilled and projectable backcourt prospect. Has the ability to play both backcourt positions. That was easy to see because that is basically what he did on Saturday. Only scored two first half points and was more of distributor as the Celtics built a substantial lead. However came alive offensively in the second half as the game tightened. Had a 17 point second half to finish with 19 points. Did it from deep and also off penetration. A little more size and a little quickness could create a next level backcourt prospect.
Kai Fogleson 6–5 2024 Chicago Walter Payton (IL) Not going to jump off the page in warmups or even necessarily in a box score. But this long forward has a crafty and nuanced offensive game. Was clever in finding seams in a zone to get open shots. Didn’t need much of a seam because he was able to get his shot off quickly and with little wasted motion. Has good footwork and could get his shoulders squared to the basket quickly. Finished with 17 points. But has the type of effortless and efficient game where it didn’t feel like he put up that many shots. Very skinny frame. But at 6-5 already has enough vertical size to be a intriguing long term wing prospect.
Ja’corey Robinson 6–4 2025 Highland Park Topeka (KS) Powerfully built athlete had a big game in a win against Full Package (IL). While the Full Package 2025 is one of the better squads on the Prep Hoops Circuit. They do not have a lot of size. Robinson exploited this in a major way. Was all over the glass on both the offensive and defensive ends. Has the ball handling ability to be a one man fast break when he wants to. Only finished with 12 points. But impacted the game in ways that did not show up in the box score. Sealed the game with an offensive rebound late. Also was involved in breaking up the last play defensively.
Zane Gaul Zane Gaul 6'10" | C Prescott | 2025 State AZ 6–10 2025 Prescott (AZ) Speaking of size. Plenty of it to go around in this Arizona prospect who played with a New Mexico based team this weekend. You don’t often see 6-10 prospects at the 2025 level. And when you do. They are frequently still growing into their body and learning their game. That is not this prospect at all. Has a thick but athletic build. Is also rather light on his feet. Shows decent ball skills. Had a nice turn around hook in the post in a come behind victory against Gateway Badketball Club (MO). In his second contest against EG10 (IN) appeared to struggle a little more with their quickness. While he gets up and down the court quickly. Will want to improve his lateral agility so he doesn’t get hunted and switched in pick and roll situations. But there is a lot of time to do that. This a young prospect with a lot of long term upside.
