Oklahoma talent was at it early at the Drive 5 facility in Overland Park as the Prep Hoops Live event continued on Saturday. In this post, we take a look at five prospects who shined early on Saturday morning and into the afternoon. Stay tuned to the site for more Oklahoma standouts on Saturday evening and into Sunday. Deken Jones – 2024 Guard – Dale
(Playing With Oklahoma Runners)
Fresh off a state championship with Dale, Deken Jones continued to have a strong showing in Kansas City. The Runners bounced back from a bad loss on Friday night with two big wins on Saturday morning. In the game that we caught, Jones and the Runners were trailing by 4 points at halftime and would absolutely turn on the defensive pressure to force turnovers, leading to easy buckets. Jones is an interesting 2024 prospect because the majority of his work on the court is in the paint as an undersized forward. But as he develops his shot, he’ll grow into another 2024 prospect coming out of Dale that will need to continue to be watched.
Dominick Scott – 2024 Guard – Apache
(Playing With Oklahoma Runners)
We mentioned that strong second half when breaking down Jones. One player who really excelled during that second half was Apache 2024 guard Dominick Scott. The small school guard led the Runners in scoring as they rallied to actually run away with the win on Saturday morning. Scott had a mix of things going well for him offensively. Whether it was knocking down shots from the perimeter, driving to the basket off turnovers or converting at the free throw line when he was fouled, Scott was showing a good mix of skills on the offensive end. Just like with Jones, Scott is another small school prospect in the 2024 class that is worth keeping an eye on moving forward.

– 2023 Guard – Carl Albert
(Playing With Oklahoma Impact)
There’s no doubt who was the best in-state prospect that we got a chance to see on Saturday morning/early afternoon. Carl Albert 2023 guard Jordan England Jordan England 6'2" | CG Carl Albert | 2023 State OK , while playing with Oklahoma Impact, could not be stopped on Saturday. In a great game with Arnold Palmer Elite, England probably finished with at least 30 points and the lefty was absolutely electric on the court. England started it off by knocking down shots from 3-point range and he showed that he could do more than that by driving and finishing at the rim or pulling up and knocking down mid-range shots. England was also consistent from the free throw line and there weren’t many shots that England was missing on Saturday. We’re looking forward to seeing more of England this spring and summer.

– 2023 Guard – Del City
(Playing With Oklahoma Impact)
Staying with the Oklahoma Impact as their 17U squad continued to win games, we also stay in the Mid-Del area with Del City 2023 guard Percy Green Percy Green 6'4" | SF Del City | 2023 State OK . The Del City product was more of a shooter during the high school season and gave the Eagles a spark from the perimeter. However, his shot was somewhat off on Saturday when we got a chance to see him so Green had to do something else. With good size and handles, Green was able to get to the basket at will and finish in the paint. It was good to see Green showcasing another aspect of his game. While Del City teammates Brandon Garrison Brandon Garrison 6'8" | C Evans | 2023 State #33 Nation OK and Terry McMorris Terry McMorris 6'5" | SF Douglass | 2023 State OK get a lot of pub, Green is a prospect on the rise in the 2023 class. Del City will certainly be the team to beat no matter what class they’re in next season.

– 2024 Guard – Edmond North
(Playing With H&H Elite)
We wrote about Edmond North and H&H Elite guard Tatum Ridge Tatum Ridge 6'2" | CG Edmond North | 2024 State OK last night. Ridge is certainly a point guard that is not only on our radar, but we consider a 2024 prospect on the rise with his play so far on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Ridge continued his strong weekend in Kansas City on Saturday morning. Despite suffering another loss, the H&H Elite point guard showed off his ability to fill it up from multiple spots on the floor. Ridge at times when we’ve seen him has been more of a playmaking point guard, opting to get his teammates involved. But on Saturday morning, Ridge was dangerous from the floor. He was knocking down perimeter shots and then getting to the lane and finishing at the basket, just about whenever he wanted.
