Spring is here and that can only mean one thing. It’s Circuit Season! The Prephoops Circuit is upon us. I will be covering and providing exposure for the Hustle Region Circuit. The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop 3 is a big one, as the circuit pulls up in Kansas City for the NCAA Certified Prephoops Live Event. The event was home to several wing players and quality big men. In this article, we take a look at the top wing and bigs from the event.

[player_tooltip player_id="981201" first="Levi" last="Birkholz"] 6’3 SG Wisconsin Crusaders 2023 (featured image) (#7PHW 2023) - Birkholz is the inaugural member of my All Babe Ruth team. Early in the game, he had a ridiculous baseline dunk. While sitting at the scorers table I casually asked if he could do it again, and he looked at me like I had two heads. Seconds after entering the game, he did it again, effectively calling his shot. In addition to his high wire act, he also showed wiggle, the ability to score off the bounce, and finish when attacking. Birkholz has gathered some D2 and low major interest and while at the event I had multiple Ivy league coaches ask me about him.

Adonis Lafleur 6’3 SG Chosen Few 2024 - I’ve seen Lafleur play since middle school and he shot the ball better than I remember. He knocked down a ton of shots in catch-and-shoot situations, which opened up his slashing and driving game. He has a good frame, which allows him to play physically on the defensive end, and finish through contact on the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="868237" first="A.J." last="Lux"] 6’5 SG Team Gr111 2023 (#20PHIN 2023) - Lux could have probably made my top snipers team, but he’s more than just a shooter. That’s saying a lot considering he hit 8 threes in the game I watched. In addition to his sniping ability, he flashed some balls skills, showing the ability to beat opponents off the bounce, get to the rim and score.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297068" first="Julius" last="Gizzi"] 6’0 SG D1 Indiana 2025 - Gizzi was tremendous in the game I watched. I actually pulled up to check out some players from another team but he stole the show. He’s just a player. The combo made everything when left open and broke down defenders of the bounce. He played with great pace using ball fakes to lift defenders before getting to the cup to complete plays.

Drew Snivley 6’5 SF D1 Indiana 2025 - Shivley was a quiet assassin for D1. Whenever the defense helped off Gizzi, Snivley was there to make them pay. He knocked down a couple of threes but it was his ability to score around the rim that really made him stand out. He found a couple buckets simply by being active around the rim and was able to drive and finish off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id="1148003" first="Devin" last="Marby"] 6’6 SF Chosen Few 2023 - Marby played a hybrid role this weekend for CF. He was the biggest player on the floor at times so he was forced to play in the interior, but he did flash some wing skills, sprinting lanes, catching, and finishing in transition. Chosen Few played a lot of zone, but when the opportunity arose, he showed the ability to defend out on the perimeter.
