The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop 3 is a big one, as the circuit pulls up in Kansas City for the NCAA Certified Prephoops Live Event. With so many prospects it’s impossible to see everyone. In this article, we take a look at some players to watch from the event.
Seydou Tamboura 6’8 PF Arizona Select 2023 (#47PHA 2022) – The athletic forward will be one of the high flyers at the event. Tamboura shows good 1 v 1 ability including slashing to the rim and finishing ability in transition. Looking to check out his frame, as well as gauge the energy he competes with.
Corbin Garver Corbin Garver 6'3" | CG Air Academy | 2023 State CO 6’4 SG Team Daum 2023 – Saw a little bit of Garver in Denver, but need to see more. I saw enough to figure out that he’s a bucket getter, now I’m going to spend some more time examing how he gets them. He scored a lot in transition, this week, I’m looking to see his catch and shoot ability and his overall handle.
James Murray IV James Murray IV 6'6" | CG Denver East | 2025 State CO IV 6’5 SG Rising Stars 2025 (featured image) – I completely missed Murray in Denver, but will not make that mistake again. I’ve watched him since his middle school days, and the athletic wing has continued to develop. He’s always been a terror when playing downhill, this weekend I’m looking for an improved outside shot to go along with his explosiveness.
Dae’sean Johnson Holiman 5’9 PG BDH Elite 2023 – DJH went to work in Denver. The jitterbug PG was as elusive as an NFL running back in open space. He showed good wiggle, dancing by opponents, and managed to create shots for himself at a high level. He’s got serious handle and wiggle, I’m looking to see if he brings it to Denver.
Anquan Boldin Jr 6’5 CG Ball4Lyfe 2023 – Bouldin is coming off a sensational performance at the stage. I love R&J athletes and he’s one of the best in the event. Obviously excited to check out his athleticism, but also want to get a look at his skill set.
Alan Acevedo Alan Acevedo 6'2" | CG Colorado Prep | 2023 State CO 6’1 CG Colorado Titans 2023 (#13PHC) – Saw Acevedo a couple of years ago and looking forward to following up w/ him. He was a high IQ guy a few years back, I’m looking to see if that high IQ is even higher. A “winner” he’s eval will probably be correlated with the Titans team success.
Jake Fiegen 6’4 SG Full Package 2023 – Saw Fiegen a year ago in Chicago. High IQ scorer that gets buckets in a variety of ways, including off the bounce. Fiegen is one of the better tough shot makers I watched on film and I’m excited to watch him display that skill this weekend.
