A 12+ hour day of basketball brought us several great individuals performances, but we will try to narrow down to just eight standouts from Saturday out at the Lawrence Sports Pavilion. Let’s dive on in to some top performers.
Levi Birkholz Levi Birkholz 5'2" | SG Lakeside Luthersn | 2023 State #290 Nation WI (Lakeside Lutheran H.S. 2023/Wisconsin Crusaders 2023 Premier): Birkholz just might be one of the best prospects at Prep Hoops Live. The 6’3″ guard is one of the top ranked players in the state of Wisconsin and showed why on Saturday morning. He is an explosive athlete that matches the physical gifts with equal ball skill. Really impressive prospect.
Jeremiah Fears Jeremiah Fears 6'1" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2025 State #31 Nation AZ (Joliet West H.S. 2025/Hoops 4 Health 2023): Anytime you see a kid playing up two years it sparks your interest. Then, he produces at the level that Fears does and it becomes extremely impressive. Elite passer, dynamic playmaker, and can shoot it from deep. One of the better Class of 2025 prospects you’ll come across.
Mason Jones Mason Jones 6'7" | PF Valparaiso | 2023 State IN (Valparaiso H.S. 2023/Team GRIII 2023 Elite): This 6’7″ versatile forward picked up right where he left off on Friday night. Jones earned top performer status with 22 points in a win on Friday and followed it up with 21 points on Saturday morning. He also collected 16 rebounds in a really impressive effort.
Matthew King Matthew King 6'3" | SG Bosco Institute | 2024 IN (Hammond Central H.S. 2024/EG10 2024): King is an athletic 6’3″ wing that is excellent in transition and has some explosiveness on his way to the rim. The EG10 2024 prospect poured in 17 points in a win Saturday morning and was solid once again in an evening victory. Very tough to stop when he has a head of steam driving to the basket.
Mason Lewis Mason Lewis 5'9" | PG Crispus Attucks | 2024 State IN (North Central H.S. 2024/EG10 2024): It has been said before on this website, but Lewis is one of the most dynamic playmakers in Indiana’s Class of 2024. He is ultra-quick with the ball in his hands while remaining poised and under control. Got to the basket time and time again on Saturday leading EG10 2024 to a pair of victories.
Sebastian Soriano (Utica H.S. 2024/Michigan Goonies 2023): Playing up an age group with the 2023 Michigan Goonies squad, Soriano more than held his own. A quick, shifty 5’11″ point guard, Soriano showed off advanced playmaking skills with creative finishing ability.
Andy Spoelman (Illiana Christian H.S. 2024/Team GRIII 2024 Elite): Spoelman showed off his offensive versatility on Saturday night in a big win for Team GRIII 2024 Elite over OWE-RW3 2024. The 6’5″ forward hit several face-up jumpers out to three-point range.
Sonny Williams Sonny Williams 6'1" | PG International Sports Academy | 2023 OH (Notre Dame College Prep 2023/Hoops 4 Health 2023): Williams played one of his best games of the spring on Saturday night for Hoops 4 Health. A super athletic 6’1″ guard hit a couple of threes in a row and got explosive up around the rim. Nice prospect in the backcourt.
