The sixth article gives insight into the Pittsburgh Rytes Warriors 17U AAU program. This group of talented players showed their skills at the Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest this weekend. These skilled performers continue to develop their games in the view of college coaches that attended the Jam Fest. After talking with high school coaches, AAU coaches, college coaches, scouts, officials, and media members we here at Prep Hoops Pennsylvania have created a database of players and their AAU teams to provide information for any subscribers to our site. We do our best to promote the student-athletes that work hard on the court to achieve their goal of playing college basketball.
PITTSBURGH RYTES WARRIORS 17U:
Ethan Anish Ethan Anish 6'1" | CG Taylor Allderdice | 2023 State PA = 2023 = 6’0 point guard = Allderdice HS
- A skilled shooter from mid-range and the three-point line who makes shots with consistency
- He has excellent court awareness that creates opportunities for his teammates throughout the entire game
- Ethan brings the leadership from the guard position that resembles a coach on the floor commanding the offense
Jordan Lucas-Johnson = 2023 = 6’7 power forward = West Mifflin HS
- His size makes him a matchup problem in the low post and on the offensive glass
- This long, athletic big man utilizes his body and footwork on the offensive end of the court
- Jordan blocks shot at a high level while snagging quality defensive rebounds to get his team a distinct advantage on the boards
Zion Moore Zion Moore 6'2" | SF Bellevernon | 2025 State PA = 2025 = 6’2 combo guard = Ringgold HS
- Despite his age, this freshman burst onto the scene this high school season and is garnering college interest already
- He likes to run the floor on the fast break while finishing strong at the basket
- Zion has the scoring ability to consistently make jumpers and penetrate the lane for easy buckets
Courtney Wallace Courtney Wallace 6'2" | CG The Neighborhood Academy | 2025 State PA = 2025 = 6’0 point guard = The Neighborhood Academy HS
- An extremely talented young guard that doesn’t play like age due to being such a very mature basketball performer for his team
- He can create opportunities for himself from a variety of spots on the court and uses his creativity to be a success
- Courtney is grabbing the attention of some colleges with his excellent play thus far this AAU spring and he still has three more years of high school as well
John Wilkins John Wilkins 6'1" | SF Seton LaSalle | 2024 State PA = 2024 = 6’2 wing forward = Seton LaSalle HS
- This long, lanky, athletic wing likes to slash to the basketball from the perimeter while finishing with solid moves at the basket
- His ability to grab defensive rebounds and outlet the ball to start the fast break are strong suits of this player
- John Is an extremely unselfish young man who is the meaning of a team player
Drew Sleva Drew Sleva 5'10" | PG Chartiers Valley | 2023 State PA = 2023 = 6’1 shooting guard = Chartiers Valley HS
- His long-distance shooting has no limits when he is feeling confident in his shot attempts
- He hustles on the defensive end while either dishing out quality assists or lighting up the scoreboard with deep three balls
- Drew puts forth the extra effort to achieve his goal of playing college hoops and he will not stop until he gets those chances
