I specifically kept an eye on some of the region’s newest young talent! Here’s the first batch of my favorite 15U guys I watched throughout the weekend.
Carmine Anroman, FCA Saints 2025
Anroman had a crazy first half in an impressive and close win against ISA Elite on Sunday. Anroman was a torch from outside. He had 3 triples in the first half in his 21 point performance where his team caught a 64-62 win. On a team of shifty guards, Anroman stood out as a small guard with a nice handle and the ability to put the ball in the basket. He had some beyond flashy finishes going downhill and showed his ability to contort himself to finish around the basket. Anroman will serve nicely as a primary guard on a team full of some incredibly talented players that should make some noise on the Prep Hoops Circuit.
Ryan Waugh, FCA Saints 2025
Waugh was huge Mr. Intangibles for the Saints in this one. While he did contribute a very necessary 11 points in the contest, Waugh added his value by spreading the floor and offering the next right pass to his teammates. He was able to contribute some much needed perimeter shooting to this team down the stretch, knocking down a triple with only a few minutes left to keep FCA in the game. The 2026 guard playing a year up was also huge in the clutch, knocking down 3 free throws towards the end of the game to ice the comeback win. Waugh is a very young prospect who hasn’t even hit the high school floor yet, and will continue to improve as he plays at the high school level. He will add intangible value to any team that he will play on.
Warren Sharry, FCA Saints 2025
Sharry added 11 points of his own in the FCA Saints contest I watched but also added a ton of intangibles to the game. For starters, Sharry plays with a swagger that sets him apart from everyone on the floor. He plays with a certain style that you don’t see in every player. It’s a mind game but an effective one: players guarded Sharry as if he was Michael Jordan, even when his scoring had tapered off towards the end of the game. He posed a constant threat with the ball in his hands even when not scoring. He was a great passer, finding teammates for open looks and making the right read several times. Sharry was also effective at changing the game’s pace and pushing the ball into the open floor to set his Saints up for easy points. Sharry was an intriguing prospect who will no doubt have a great Circuit season.
