First Team
Theo Stephens – 6’1 Guard – North Florida United – 2023
Stephens is the first name to kick off the first-team All-Tournament selections. He was dialed in from behind the perimeter as North Florida United went unbeaten in pool play in the Passion Region Kick Off with him at the lead guard spot. He knocked down a total of nine 3-pointers while showing off his ability to score the ball in the paint and on the perimeter while averaging 16.8 ppg on the weekend for his squad. He showed he could operate off the catch and off the bounce while getting others involved in the action as well. He was one of a few names that caught our eye.
Theo Mansell Theo Mansell 6'4" | CG Holy Trinity | 2022 State FL – 6’5 Guard – Palm Beach All-Stars Flames (2022)
Mansell is an impressive guard prospect that was impressive all weekend long. He put up 20 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks in their final game of the day. Relentless is one way to describe the way Mansell plays the game, as he showed off an ability to get to the rim and create chaos in the paint, whether finishing around the rim with his athleticism or getting to the free throw line. He’s an unsigned senior prospect out of Holy Trinity to keep an eye on this spring on the grassroots scene.
Aron Benton – 6’4 Forward/Wing – Supreme Team Basketball 2023
Benton was an athletic prospect that excelled in the Supreme Team Basketball 2023 rotation as they were another squad that went unbeaten in their pool. He’s a strong prospect with some versatility in his game and an ability to play at the rim. He came be up big in their final 8AM game with some finishes at the rim and late free throws when things got tight to show some of his grit. He plays big and showed off an ability to rebound the ball as well with his length and ability to battle in the paint.
Malachi Hampton Malachi Hampton 6'4" | SF Wekiva | 2023 State FL – 6’6 Forward/Wing – Florida Suns
Hampton was another prospect, with size, that showed off an ability to knock down shots from deep as his Florida Suns squad went 3-1 on the weekend in the Passion Region Kick Off. He uses his length well to create space on the perimeter for shots and showed off his ability to battle on the boards on numerous occasions. He did well to play physical and use it to get to the free-throw line. He finished the event with a total of nine made 3-pointers as well, knocking down five in the opening game to the tune of 23 points in a tough one-point loss in the opening 8AM game of the Saturday games. He certainly brings the energy with his versatility.
Omarri Wallace – 6’7 Forward/Center – Team Wright Tigers 2023
Wallace is a sizeable big man for Team Wright Tigers 2023 as they were yet another squad that went unbeaten in early pool play with a 4-0 performance. He showed off his ability to battle down low but also wasn’t shy about stepping out and knocking down shots on the perimeter. He exploded for 18 points on four made 3-pointers in their second game on Saturday. He finished the weekend averaging 13.5 ppg and became quite the matchup nightmare when the ball came his way. As he shows off his versatility and mobility as a forward, look for his stock to rise in the state of Florida.
