Their were 13 teams in the division and here is the breakdown for the 1st team all 16U:
Mazen El Bissat SF 6’3 2024 San Marcos/CA (Coastal Elite 2024)
A long and lean wing with decent size. He is pushing 6’4 and has a smooth stroke from the 3pt line. He is also surprisingly athletic and can throw it down. He can rebound in his area and handles it decently enough to create his own offense in the lane and is crafty to finish a variety of layups. He can get stronger moving forward.
Jrob Croy CG 6’1 2026 Riverside Poly/CA (Team Eleate 2024)
A high IQ lead guard can play on or off the ball and plays with a high feel for the game for his class. He makes good decisions with the ball and works well off the pick and roll game. His best skill currently is easily his shooting. He has a pure stroke and gets it off quickly. He smartly moves without the ball to relocate. He has big family lineage and may end up a 6’6 shooter with ball skills.
Myles Harper CG 5’10 2024 Yucca Valley/CA (Desert Basketball Club 2024)
A high motored guard with top-end speed like a track star. He is undersized but he is an incredible defender. He uses his stronger upper body strength and athleticism to corral the ball and isn’t afraid to mix it up among the trees. Almost all of his points come in the paint but is a capable perimeter shooter (he can improve) and makes good passes to teammates.
Christian Harris SG 6’2 2024 Etiwanda/CA (Rancho Elite 2024)
One of the top performers of the weekend. He averaged 18 ppg in their four games played going 3-1 and he will defend. He has long arms and handles it fairly well (he can improve in tighter spaces), but he is a true three level scorer. He can hit the catch-3, get to the basket with a smooth stride and he can drive and kick it. He collects steals with his length and rebounds the ball well for a guard.
Bradey Henige Bradey Henige 7'0" | C Cactus | 2024 State #192 Nation AZ (D1 Nation AZ 2024)
The big man showed his whole repertoire and impressed all on the way. Not only does he man the paint with protecting the rim as he blocks every shot near him and glass cleans but he scores it and was the best passer this weekend. He takes the ball off the glass and will push the break and find cutters perfectly in stride. Anytime he gets double teamed he consistently finds the open player. He can create his own offense with a quick crab dribble and uses his dominant left hand to score. He also can step out to the three point line and shoot it.
Zyere Johnson-Curry PF 6’5 2024 Rancho Cucamonga/CA (Rancho Elite 2024)
A true high-motered power forward with unusually long arms. Every game I viewed he grabbed at least five offensive rebounds using his length and desire. He has a polished hook shot with his right hand and scores on put backs. He can progress his perimeter shooting but makes free throws. He moves well in space to defend and will block shots in the paint.
Drew Pierce CG 6’1 2024 Temecula Valley/CA (IE Fire Elite 2024) (Pictured)
A super crafty guard can play on or off the ball. He is extremely shifty to create separation from his defender. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and gets to the cup plus will score it with either hand and uses the finger roll. He can shoot the catch-3 and he has quick hands on defense. He can get stronger as he ages.
