The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Throughout the season we will be breaking down our Pillar Programs. In this article, we take a look at D1 New Mexico.
15U:
Uriah Tenette Uriah Tenette 5'10" | PG Prescott | 2025 State AZ 5’10 PG Prescott 2025 – Tennette is coming off a marvelous freshman season for the Badgers. He’ll be on the circuit as D1’s main backcourt player for the 15U squad. The lefty is known for his effort and tight handle. He proved he can score the ball averaging nearly 16ppg as a freshman. He and Gaul should make for an exciting 1-2 punch.
Dominic Rhoades-Martinez 6’1 PG Denver So 2025 – The backcourt looks like it’s in good hands for D1. DRM is an electrifying scorer who put up big numbers in his debut season for the Ravens. In addition to his scoring, look for the PG to also be one of the top defenders on the circuit, as he averaged a ridiculous 5 steals per game during the high school season.
16U:
Tommy Randolph Tommy Randolph 6'2" | PG Pinnacle | 2024 State AZ 6’3 SG Phoenix Christian 2024 (#21PHA 2024) – Randolph is one of the headliners for the 16U squad. The first thing, I’m interested to see is how his frame in person compares to his frame on film. The strong combo guard is known as a dedicated paint guard getter, capable of making plays for teammates.
Brandon Kehres Brandon Kehres 6'5" | PF Organ Mountain | 2024 State NM 6’5 SF Organ Mountain 2024 – I’ve heard nothing but good things about Kehres’ game, so I’m excited to have him on the circuit. He spends a ton of time on the interior, however, he loves to play outside and is one of the top stretch fours in his class. It will be fun watching him compete on the circuit after coming off a sophomore season in which he averaged 17 and 7.
17U:
Damion Perez 6’5 SG Carlsbad 2023 – Perez will he harrassing a ballhandler near you. He plays the game with good instincts, routinely jumping passing lanes for steals. He’s also displayed the ability to shoot the ball and has a knack for pulling from deep.
Josiah Gulliford 5’8 PG La Cueva 2023 (#29PHNM 2023) – Gulliford will be ready to do what he does on the circuit. What he does is find ways to help his squad win. He played that role for the Bears this season and will look to do more of the same for D1. The PG is coming off a season where he averaged over 7 points a game, however, it was his playmaking that added value. Gulliford finished the season averaging over 3 assists per game.
Cedarious Yates 6’2 SG La Cueva 2023 – Yates will be joining the 17U squad. Got to see a little of him during the high school season. I came away impressed with his frame and driving ability. Yates is a tenacious rebounder who should help on the glass. He came away with over 5 boards per game last season.
Sleeper:
Daniel Jacobson 6’10 C La Cueva 2024 (#3PHNM) – Jacobson is a young, raw developing prospect that will cut his teeth against 17U competition. He adds size and depth to the squad and will be counted on to rebound and protect the rim.
Top Prospect
Zane Gaul Zane Gaul 6'10" | C Prescott | 2025 State AZ 6’10 C Prescott 2025 – Gaul is a prospect that I’m excited to take a look at. He brings size to the circuit but also has a reputation as a big-time rebounder. He grabbed more boards than points this season, averaging over 7 per game in both categories. D1 New Mexico has a history of developing bigs, including current GCU commit Isaiah Carr Isaiah Carr 6'11" | C Las Cruces | 2022 State NM , Gaul has the chance to be next up.
