Lambert is the son and nephew of coaches at Monticello, and that is clear when you watch him play. He does a great job playing with pace and using his superior size and length to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He can shoot it from deep and is willing to take smaller defenders onto the block and operate in the paint. He’s a good passer who sees the floor really well and he keeps the ball moving on the offensive end.
PF Ryan Watters (Iowa Mavericks 15U/Central DeWitt)
The 6-6 big man was one of the breakout stars of the 3A state tournament in March, and he has continued that strong play into the spring. A bouncy athlete with good hands and touch around the rim, Watters is a versatile defender who can switch onto guards as well as protect the rim. He finishes effectively with either hand around the rim and has a good looking stroke from the free-throw line, suggesting he may be able to add some range to his game in the coming years.
SG Evan O’Donnell (Iowa Mavericks 15U/Liberty)
A 6-0 off-ball guard who showed his ability to shoot it from the arc and put the ball on the floor and get to the bucket, O’Donnell does a good job moving without the ball in his hands to find spaces in the defense to help get his shot off. He’s a tough guard who embraces contact around the rim and finishes through it.
SG Austin Goodrich Austin Goodrich 6'1" | SG Marion | 2025 State IA (Iowa Mavericks 15U/Anamosa)
Like O’Donnell, Goodrich did a good job in the Mavericks loss to Wisconsin Swing in getting to the rim and finishing through contact. He has good touch around the bucket with either hand and has a tight handle that he uses to break down the defense and get to the rim.
SG Devonte Bacon ( Wisconsin Swing 14U/Waunakee, WI)
Bacon had the most dominant showing of the tournament, dropping 32 points on the Mavericks 15U team, including a game-winning 3-pointer, one of eight that he made in the game. An athletic 6-0 guard with a tight handle and physically advanced frame that he uses to finish through contact around the rim, Bacon does an excellent job playing with pace and getting downhill, which opened up the rest of his offensive game. He’s a very confident scorer with a quick release both off the dribble and the catch. He finishes with either hand effectively around the rim and does a good job setting up screens when he’s working off the ball. He’ll be a freshman at Waunakee in the fall and looks like a very promising player for their program.
PG Parker Blank ( Wisconsin Swing 14U/Beaver Dam, WI)
A 5-7 point guard, Blank sees the floor really well and does a good job breaking down the defense, getting them to collapse, and then finding open teammates on the wing. He has a tight handle and is a high-level passer already, and he showed that he can score from the arc and by getting to the bucket for finishes through contact.
PF Broker Buschor ( Wisconsin Swing 14U/Darlington, WI)
Buschor is a strong 6-1 forward who did an excellent job battling with Watters, one of the state’s top 2025 big men, in the paint for position. He didn’t give up anything easily and did a great job playing with physicality on both ends of the floor. Offensively he has good hands and touch around the rim with either hand.
