Markus Blackwell Markus Blackwell 6'1" | CG Warren Lincoln | 2025 State MI (2025, CG, Warren Lincoln)
Blackwell showed a game that’s much more mature than his years. He had an 18 point game as well as a 20 point game. Even when scoring, he still looked for teammates and found them when they had a better look.
Jake Champagne Jake Champagne SG Oxford | 2025 State MI (2025, CG, North Oakland Wolfpack 15u, Oxford)
Champagne is leaving his mark this spring. He’s been a confident shooter both off the dribble and the catch. Champagne had a 31 point game this weekend, in which he also added 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Evan Haroldson Evan Haroldson 6'4" | SF Dexter | 2023 State MI (2023, SF, Michigan Cagers 2023, Dexter)
I believe that Haroldson has an extremely high upside as a prospect. He’s strong, confident, and well rounded in his game. He went off offensively in a game this weekend, showing that he has that star like scoring burst.
Luke Hazelton Luke Hazelton 6'7" | PF Glen Lake | 2023 State MI (2023, F, Parallel 45, Glen Lake)
Hazelton averaged 16.5 points in 4 games over the weekend. His ability to read matchups and play outside-in as well as inside-out makes him a tremendously difficult matchup. Hazelton has huge upside at the next level.
Brody Kosin Brody Kosin 6'4" | SF Clarkston | 2024 State MI (2024, PF, North Oakland Wolfpack. Clarkston)
Kosin was a beast in the paint. He posted double-doubles while controlling action in the paint on both ends. He’s an athletic 4 that can get after it physically.
DeShawn Martin DeShawn Martin 6'0" | SG Detroit Loyola | 2023 MI (2023, SG, Detroit Loyola, Motor City Grizzlies 17u)
Martin had himself a game on a big stage. In an impressive win over the North Oakland Wolfpack, he scorched the nets for 27 points.
Shane Rykse Shane Rykse 6'0" | CG Schoolcraft | 2024 State MI (2024, CG, United Persuit, Schoolcraft)
Rykse continues to show the state (and beyond that) why he should be considered one of the electric scorers in Michigan. He went of for a 30 spot in a 58-51 overtime win on Saturday.
Daniel Smythe Daniel Smythe 6'3" | CG Orchard Lake St. Mary's | 2024 State MI (2024, PF, REACH Legends 2024, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Smythe continued his solid spring at the Adidas Session. He shot the ball really well from beyond the arc, which is sort of a trademark for him.
Darryl Thompkins Darryl Thompkins 5'9" | PG East Kentwood | 2025 State MI Jr. (2025, PG, DTO 15u, Michigan Collegiate)
Thompkins Jr. is THAT good. If you haven’t seen him in person, you need to. He plays with a constant fire and intensity, guaranteeing that you’re always going to get as much as he can give. He got buckets for his team this weekend, coming up with a couple 20 point and more games.
Landon Williams Landon Williams 6'4" | PG North Farmington | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, Great Lakes Warriorz, North Farmington)
Honestly, a handful of Warriorz could be on this list, but I went with the floor general. There aren’t many guys I’d rather have at the helm than this young star and he showed why with his steady scoring and heady play this weekend.
