Adam Ayrault Adam Ayrault 6'4" | CG Grosse Pointe North | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Meanstreets EYBL,
If you’ve heard me mention “The Hutch Ward Hutch Ward 6'8" | PF Kalamazoo Central | 2023 State MI Explosion”, well Ayrault last fall was the prequal. Honestly, right now, he looks like a high major guard. He hit 7 triples in a win over BABC this weekend in Indy, going off for 24 total points.
Kaden Brown Kaden Brown 5'10" | PG Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, DTO Elite 17u, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
Brown was a lightning rod offensively, scoring at all 3 levels for DTO. He might be playing as well as anyone in Michigan since the start of the state playoffs.
Donovan Cummings (2024, CG, West Michigan Future, Comstock Park)
Cummings came up huge in West Michigan Future’s Gold Bracket championship. He buried 5 triples en route to a 21 point championship game.
Ryan Hurst Ryan Hurst 6'2" | SG North Farmington | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Detroit Unified 17u)
Hurst is an athletic scorer that can thrive in the open floor. He’s an athletic finisher that can shoot the rock just as easy. Hurst had a couple games that really showed his elite scoring acumen.
Braylon Isom Braylon Isom 6'1" | SG Saginaw Heritage | 2024 State MI (2024, G/F, DV45 2024, Saginaw Heritage)
Isom is a player that college coaches have to see in person. He’s a versatile and bouncy player that can have an influence from anywhere on the floor. He showed his improved shot and scoring acumen this weekend, going off for 24 in one game.
Chris McLavish Jr Chris McLavish Jr 5'8" | PG Kell | 2025 State GA (2025, PG, CMB Basketball, Flint Carman-Ainsworth)
McLavish was all the rage this high school season. He was a lightning rod shooter and scorer and he still has that look during grassroots season. He was doing his thing, getting buckets this weekend.
Jordan Scott Jordan Scott 6'3" | PG Plymouth Christian | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Plymouth Christian, Detroit Unified 17u)
You aren’t going to find many backcourts that can compare to Hurst and Scott. Scott’s a strong and physical guard, but this weekend it was the look of his jumper that impressed me the most.
Jake Stephens Jake Stephens 6'3" | CG Chelsea | 2024 State MI (2024, CG, DV45 2024, Chelsea)
Stephens has been turning a lot of heads lately and that didn’t stop this weekend. He’s an underrated all around athlete that has a burst to the rim and range on his jumper. Stephens scored in double figures in every game this weekend, including a 25 point outburst.
Noah Vanlaningham Noah Vanlaningham 5'10" | SG Mattawan | 2024 State MI (2024, CG, Strictly Skills 16u, Mattawan)
Vanlaningham should be on a lot of college coaches’ radars. He has good positional length and is a very efficient, yet explosive, scorer. He had a 25 point game that highlighted his weekend.
Luke Westerdale Luke Westerdale 6'1" | SG Gabriel Richard | 2025 State MI (2025, PG, AABA Elite 2025, Riverview Gabriel Richard)
Westerdale was as explosive of a shooter as anyone in the state this weekend. He averaged a staggering 26 points per game and led AABA to a 4-0 record.
