Joseph Ascher – 6’0” SG – Wautoma (Elite8 2024)
Ascher is a shooting guard who plays a lot bigger than his 6’0″ frame. He rebounds and defenders like a wing, and he really did it all. He also shot lights out, and he dominated on the catch ad shoot. Ascher hit two threes on the first two possessions of the game, and he ended up with three triples and a couple of mid-range jumpers as well.
Carson Awe – 5’11” PG – Kaukana (Elite8 2024)
Awe is a smaller point guard who did it all for Elite8 this weekend. He sees the floor well and makes smart, well-timed passes, but the biggest impact that he made was his outside shooting. Awe made five threes in the final game on Saturday night, and he was scoring both off the bounce and on the catch and shoot. Great overall weekend from Awe.
Phil Borgman – 6’1” PG – Oconomowoc (Wisconsin Academy 2024 Kimmel)
Borgman is a big point guard who can really do it all on the court. He sees the floor well which allows him to attack open spaces on his drives. He also moves well without the basketball and can finish strong at the rim. Borgman also may have been the best rebounding guard at the tournament. He can really get up, and he is not afraid to fight with the big men inside.
Nolan Demski – 6’3” SF – Brookfield Academy (Milwaukee Trail Blazers 2024)
Demski is a bigger wing who plays with a lot of patience and smarts about him. He is aggressive on the glass, and he looks to push it up the floor as soon as he possesses it. He also plays consistently off of two feet which allows him to be patient inside and make the right play with the basketball. A lot of potential from him.
Charlie Geske – 6’3” SF – Brookfield Central (Milwaukee Trail Blazers 2024)
Geske is another good wing who does exactly what needs to be done on the floor. He is the definition of a glue guy who defends well, is a tough rebounder, and always hustles on the court. He also shoots the ball well from both the outside and the mid-range.
Sam Hans Sam Hans 6'5" | SG Lake Country Lutheran | 2024 State WI – 6’3” SG – Lake Country Lutheran (Closed Gyms 2024)
Hans is a big shooting guard who is lights out from the outside. He looks to push the tempo every time that he can score it in many ways whether it is off of the catch and shoot or creating his own shot off the dribble. He also attacks the offensive glass every possession, and this led to several putbacks on the glass.
Jaxon Hornby – 5’11” PG – Marshall (Elite8 2024)
Hornby is a smaller point guard who works hard on every possession. He seemingly crashed the glass on every single offensive possession, and he was keeping every possession alive. He also sees the floor and passes it well, and he can knock down shots. Overall though, his impact came in the things that you cannot see on the box score.
Alex Loomis – 6’5” PF – Racine Lutheran (Gallo Sports Center 2024)
Loomis is a big body inside with a good amount of length, and he is very skilled on the offensive end of the floor. He shot it well from the mid-range, and he has good touch when finishing around the rim. I was also impressed with the footwork from Loomis in the post.
Logan Rindfleisch Logan Rindfleisch 6'5" | SF Wisconsin Lutheran | 2024 State WI – 6’4” SF – Wisconsin Lutheran (Closed Gyms 2024)
Rindfleisch is a big wing who was a dominating presence on the inside. He is a tough rebounder, and he showed off some good post moves to score it. He also always has his eyes up and can pass it both on the outside and from the post as he was a big part of the two-man game this weekend. He also shot it well from both the mid-range and the outside.
