FIRST TEAM
Kaden Magwood, Mac Irvin Fire – Western (KY)
Magwood is part of a tremendous guard group who dominated the Chi-Town tip off. He possess terrific court vision and is an exceptional ball handler. He did a great job on Saturday creating scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Also displays a tremendous amount of speed and can get up-and-down the floor in no time. Magwood is currently ranked the #3 prospect by PrepHoops in the state of Kentucky. The scouts I collaborated with are really high on him, and see a tremendous amount of potential.
Tyler Haney Tyler Haney 6'1" | CG Sun Prairie | 2025 State WI , United Hoops – Sun Prairie (WI)
Haney didn’t go up against the strongest competition at his age, but boy he and United Hoops absolutely dominated in every single aspect you can think of. The Madison-area product put up massive scoring numbers in games where he only played one half max. Used his strength and explosiveness in the beginning to finish through contact. Then he got hot from deep as he made at least 4-5 consecutive three’s in his second game Saturday. Was on the glass all weekend for put-back finishes and chase down blocks as the super-athletic guard won every 1v1 battle he faced. There’s no way I couldn’t place him on the 1st team.
Bryce Heard Bryce Heard 6'6" | SG Homewood Flossmoor | 2025 State #86 Nation IL , Mac Irvin Fire – Kenwood (IL)
Every PrepHoops scout I talked to this weekend immediately named Bryce Heard Bryce Heard 6'6" | SG Homewood Flossmoor | 2025 State #86 Nation IL as an all-tournament lock. Heard was a certified bucket-getter from all three levels this weekend. He’s also exceptionally athletic as he dropped 21 points against Team Rose Sunday. The day prior, he scored 14 points to lead the Fire in a blowout over My Journey. He also makes an impact on defense with his size and strength. The Fire have a tremendous 15U group led by Heard as they cruised to a 4-0 record this weekend.
Trey McKenney, Meanstreets – St. Mary’s (MI)
Lots of us Illinoisans got to see McKenney for the first time. There’s a ton to like about McKenney’s play for Meanstreets. The 6’4″ combo-guard dropped 20 points in a win over Team Rose on Saturday. Played with a lot of toughness as he finished through contact and crashed the boards. He also hit several 3’s this weekend. He also had a 23 point game vs Full Package where he found buckets from all areas of the floor. McKenney was named to the MaxPreps National All-Freshman 2nd team and is a national top-25 candidate for his class.
Nevaeh Hawkins, Chicago Hoops – St. Laurence (IL)
Hawkins is a lengthy forward who opened lots of eyes this weekend. Played excellent on defense as he blocked numerous shots and dominated the boards. The 6’6″ forward got buckets through the pick-and-roll, posting up, and through contact on offense. Hawkins can play either the wing or as a forward. He’s very long for his size and surely took advantage of that this weekend in wins over M14Hoops, Team Rose, and My Journey.
