The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop 4 brings us to Phoenix Arizona for the Bash In the Desert. We kicked off the weekend early, checking out some Friday NIght action. In this article, we take a look at some of our Friday Night Standouts.
Latavious Morris Latavious Morris 5'8" | PG Atrisco Heritage | 2025 State NM 5’8 PG New Mexico Rebels Elite 2025 – Morris was fearless with wiggle tonight. Best described as a scoring PG he did a terrific of breaking down opponents. His best skill is his strap and he put it on display knocking down a few deep threes in the game I watched.
Marquise Renfro Marquise Renfro 6'0" | SG Atrisco Heritage | 2024 State NM 6’2 SF New Mexico Rebels Elite 2024 – Renfro is a high-energy, active player whose defense stood out tonight. He was in those passing lanes getting steals that led directly to transition layups.
Aliou Diallo Aliou Diallo 6'0" | CG Colorado Prep | 2023 CO 5’9 PG Colorado Titans 2023 – Diallo is coming off a year playing for Colorado Prep, you can see why he excelled at the powerhouse program. The jitterbug PG was able to get by defenders get in the lane and create. He has college-level speed and his ability to blow by the first defender makes him an intriguing prospect.
Alan Acevedo Alan Acevedo 6'2" | CG Colorado Prep | 2023 State CO 6’1 PG Colorado Titans 2023 – Feel like I’ve been arguing for Acevedo for two years. Ok, he doesn’t have the prototypical frame, but he’s a player. The “slow” defender was quick enough to pick up two crucial charges and a passing lane steal late in a tight contest, sealing the victory for his squad.
Drew Owens Drew Owens 6'6" | PF Mesquite | 2022 State AZ 6’6 PF Taylor Made Elite 2022 – Owens was productive. He has a quirky game that borders on awkward, however, he was able to score the ball effectively. Owen’s used a bunch of flips and corkscrew jumpers to change the scoreboard, en route to finishing the game with 18 points.
AJ Thomas AJ Thomas 6'4" | PG Eduprize | 2025 State #292 Nation AZ 6’1 PG AZ Select 2024 – Thomas was the premier playmaker on the day. Looking for a guy to draw two, then Thomas’ is your guy. He showed exceptional vision hitting teammates with on-target passes in tight spaces, while completely controlling the pace of the game.
