Here’s a look at some of the standouts from Team Loaded NC 17U and New World 17U.
Jamie Kaiser | 6’5” WF | New World 2023
Kaiser was a huge stock riser this weekend for New World, picking up an offer from Wisconsin, and he showed he’s one of the top shot makers you’ll find on the 3SSB Circuit. He’s always bee a guy who can put up numbers but it’s the way he does it that’s so impressive as he’s a true three level scorer, he’s a great option late in the shot clock with his ability to create and make tough shots off the bounce and he has the positional size and athleticism that checks the boxes for the next level. He should continue to see his stock rise over the next few weeks and will have everyone watching him in June and July.
Greg Jones | 6’6” WF | New World 2023
Jones continues to show he’s one of the most underrated players in the DMV area, and he’ll have a chance to blow up over the next few months with coaches looking at him for not just his size but his overall skillset as well. He is long and a good athlete who attacks the rim with purpose and seeks contact, he makes great decisions with the ball in his hands and he plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor. He makes an impact on both ends of the floor and does so many things that both show up and don’t show up on the stat sheet to help his team win.
Jaeden Mustaf Jaeden Mustaf 6'4" | SG OTE | 2024 #51 Nation GA | 6’4” CG | New World 2024
Mustaf has steadily improved from already being an impressive young prospect into one of the top young guards that I saw on the 3SSB Circuit this weekend, as he has a great frame and athleticism to go along with a very good skillset as well. The 6’4” combo is quick off the bounce and gets in the lane where he plays off of 2 consistently, he can score it from different levels and plays well through contact and he can make plays for others as well. He’s set to blow up moving forward as he continues to show he can produce while playing up on the Circuit there’s going to be a lot of college coaches coming his way.
Khani Rooths Khani Rooths 6'7" | SF IMG Academy | 2024 State #16 Nation FL | 6’7” WF | New World 2024
Rooths is another big time 2024 prospect out of the DMV that continues to raise his stock with his steady play and big upside moving forward. At 6’7” he has great size and is highly skilled for his position at that size, he can put it on the deck and get to spots to make shots and he brings a toughness and edge with his style of play that makes him productive in a number of different ways. He still has some polishing to do but with the tools he has and the way he continues to produce he’ll be a guy you will see continue to grow in the recruiting realm.
Freddie Dilione Freddie Dilione 6'6" | SG Word of God | 2023 #37 Nation NC | 6’5” CG | Team Loaded NC 2023
Dilione was by far one of the top stock risers in the second session, as he put on an absolute clinic running the show and creating opportunities for himself and others. The 6’5” combo is an absolute walking bucket putting up games of 28 points and 30 points when I watched, but he also showed that he has great feel with the ball in his hands and is a capable playmaker out of the pick-and-roll too. He can make tough shots from all three levels and gets hot quickly, he’s smooth off the bounce with great body control and he can hurt you almost any way you can think of offensively.
Mayar Wol Mayar Wol 6'8" | SF Word of God | 2023 State #157 Nation NC | 6’8” PF | Team Loaded NC 2023
Wol was another stock riser for the Loaded NC team, as the 6’8” forward picked up offers from Ole Miss and Georgia after picking up VCU and Georgia Tech the week before, and his stock is only going to continue to rise as teams see his versatility at his size. He’s a walking mismatch as he has a quick first step and can put it on the deck to get to the rim, he can knock down shots consistently from deep and in the midrange and he’s an athletic finisher with length around the rim. He’s a high upside guy moving forward and continues to improve every time I see him.
James Scott James Scott 6'9" | PF EE Smith | 2023 State NC | 6’11” C | Team Loaded NC 2023
Scott is another guy who helped his stock with Loaded NC this weekend as the big man showed tremendous upside and played within himself, picking up offers from Appalachian State and Georgia State. He’s a very long and mobile big who can run the floor with guards and wings, he can protect the rim defensively and finish above the rim offensively and he plays with good intensity and energy as well. He still has some polishing to do but his athleticism and length along with his good motor he has a ton of upside and potential moving forward.
