The list has expanded out to 65 total ranked players and we’ve had quite a bit of movement throughout the list and a ton of new names. Here’s a look at the updated top 10 in the 2025 class.
EJ Walker EJ Walker 6'8" | PF Lloyd Memorial | 2025 State #116 Nation KY , Lloyd Memorial – Walker had a solid Freshman season statistically but our rankings are supposed to be based on college potential and Walker already has 3 D1 offers in his bag with the potential for many more in the future. EJ is really more of a big forward than a post but he plays on the block a decent amount in high school. He can ultimately be anything from a wing to a point forward but EJ has the tools and size to draw a lot of high major attention in the future.
Malachi Moreno Malachi Moreno 6'11" | C Great Crossing | 2025 State #21 Nation KY , Great Crossing – Speaking of kids who can get high major attention in the future, Moreno is huge (and still growing) and is continuing to improve his athleticism as his growth spurts slow down. Malachi made a living this season as a rebounder and rim protector who had multiple triple doubles this season and his skill level keeps improving. He holds a very early offer from EKU and will surely have dozens more in his future.
Kaden Magwood Kaden Magwood 6'3" | CG Western | 2025 WV , Western – Another freshman holding an early offer, Magwood was offered by Coastal Carolina during the season and looks the part of a future high major recruit with his skill and athleticism. Kaden has proved he can get his own offense with the best of them but his decision making has to improve in order to show that he’s capable of being a point guard and not a shooting guard at the next level.
Julius Edmonds Julius Edmonds 6'6" | SF Trinity | 2025 State #253 Nation KY , Western – “JuJu” could just as easily be ranked #1 in this class and that’s a testament to the overall talent and depth in the group. Edmonds is a little bit of a tweener right now as he doesn’t shoot much from the perimeter but would be an undersized post if he stopped growing. He’s young and a hard worker so it’s entirely possible that Edmonds is 6’8+ and a true wing a year from now.
Jasper Johnson Jasper Johnson 6'5" | PG Woodford County | 2025 #15 Nation MO , Woodford County – Jasper made the most of his reclass year and has become a much better facilitator at the point guard spot than he was a year ago. Johnson has great size and skill and is likely to have high major scholarship offers in football and basketball before it’s all said and done. Once he starts adding muscle to his skinny frame, the sky is the limit for the 6’4 Johnson.
Jayden Miles, Western – Recently announced to move to the 2025 class via SB 128, the move is probably a smart one for Jayden. He’s got all the physical tools but missed an entire season after knee surgery and still has some growing to do. If he reaches his potential, you could see Miles be a top player in the country. He just needs to put it all together.
Vincent Dawson III Vincent Dawson III 6'5" | SG Great Crossing | 2025 State #327 Nation KY , Great Crossing – A big wing with a smooth game, Dawson can get to his spots on offense and scores the ball at a high level. He’s at his best when getting into the midrange and making jumpers. As his athleticism continues to improve, look for Vince to become a better finisher above the rim. Great Crossing is loaded in the 2025 class and Dawson could be the key to them making a state title run sometime before graduation.
Elijah Clinton Elijah Clinton 6'6" | CG Western | 2025 FL , Western – Clinton is an explosive guard who is getting better literally every day. He’s only been playing basketball for a couple of years but “Musa” is bouncy and continues to improve his ballhandling and overall skill level. Clinton has all the physical tools to make the next level but needs to continue learning the game and improving his overall basketball IQ.
Austin Sperry Austin Sperry 6'3" | SG Breathitt County | 2025 State KY , Breathitt County – Austin is a bouncy scorer from the mountains who has a chance to be really good once he buys in to playing both ends of the court. Sperry is a true three level scorer that can get into the paint and finish through contact thanks to a strong frame. Look for him to be a D1 recruit in the near future.
Ben Mukadi Ben Mukadi 6'8" | C Evangel Christian | 2025 State KY , Evangel Christian – Another of the Evangel bigs, Ben is likely the second best of the three and has a chance to be really good in a couple of seasons. With his ability to run the floor and finish on offense as well as protect the rim and rebound at a high level, Tshaka has already drawn the eye of some colleges and has a long time to continue developing his overall skill level as he has more time playing the game.
