Continue ReadingThe 2025 class just finished their freshman seasons and are headed into their 15u (or in some cases 16u) seasons of AAU. The list has expanded out to 65 total ranked players and we’ve had quite a bit of movement throughout the list and a ton of new names. Here’s a look at some new names in the 2025 class. This does not include any players in the top ten of the class.
Chance Dillingham Chance Dillingham 5'9" | PG St. Xavier | 2025 State KY , St. Xavier – Chance is as pure of a point guard as you’ll find as it seems like he’d just as rather run the offense and get assists than to create his own shots. Dillingham is one of the smallest prospects in the class but his higher ranking is testament to how skilled he is. Chance plays with a fearless mentality and likely inherits the starting reigns for the Tigers next season and should hold on to them for 3 years.
Cooper Davenport Cooper Davenport 5'11" | CG Henderson County | 2025 State KY , Henderson County – As with most western Kentucky kids, there will be a lot of folks who say “who?” when coming across Davenport’s name on our list but he’s a talented guard who was likely the best freshman in the second region this past season. Cooper averaged over 10 points per game and knocked down over 41% of his three point attempts. He’s primarily a shooter right now but look for Davenport to play on the ball as a point guard as he develops.
Elijah Walton Elijah Walton 6'5" | SF University Heights | 2025 State KY , University Heights – Long and athletic, Elijah developed in his role at UHA last season and ended up averaging 5 points and 4 rebounds per game for a team that has a lot of youth and took some lumps early in the season. His long term upside is very high and Walton could see a huge jump in his overall production next season.
Aveion Chenault Aveion Chenault 6'3" | SG Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY , Frederick Douglass – Aveion is a player who does a little bit of everything for the Broncos. If you watch his highlights, you’ll see scoring, defense and some big time blocks. His offensive game is a work in progress as Chenault needs to keep improving his shooting or he’ll struggle to fit into his natural position on the wing moving forward.
Santonio Waide Santonio Waide 6'0" | PG Woodford County | 2025 State KY , Woodford County – Waide is a two sport athlete for Woodford and is likely to have options on both the football field and the basketball court when his Senior season rolls around. Santonio is small but quick and shifty which allows him to penetrate defenses and become a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He shot 50% from three in limited attempts. Hopefully he’ll get to fire up more shots from deep next season.
