16) Christian King Christian King 6'8" | SG Seattle Prep | 2023 State WA -6’6″ Seattle Prep
Christian has one of the most purest jump shots, regardless of class, in the state. He can really shoot it lights out, watching him play live is pleasure. His lengthy frame and high basketball IQ allows him to make many efficient plays on both sides on the court. With guys like Tyler Mrus Tyler Mrus 6'6" | SF Seattle Prep | 2022 State WA and Braeden Smith Braeden Smith 5'11" | PG Seattle Prep | 2022 State WA , King didn’t need to be the “go-to” guy. There is no doubt in my mind that King is ready to take that roll on next year. Seattle Prep finished third in state this past season, and they should have another deep run next year.
17) Soren Dalan Soren Dalan 6'10" | C W.F West | 2023 State WA -6’10″ WF West High School
Soren is one of the few “traditional” big men in the state. Standing at 6’10″, there is no other player in the state who can match up to Soren on the court. He has an amazing ability in the pick and roll, easily being able to roll off the screen and lay it in with ease. Dalan can out-rebound anyone, if that wasn’t obvious. He had many, many double-doubles, including some 20-15 games late in the year. Soren is set up for a big spring/summer this year, that I assume will come with attention from college coaches. With senior Dirk Plakinger graduating, Soren is bound for a massive year with WF West once again.
18) Will Landram Will Landram 6'6" | SF Gig Harbor | 2023 State WA -6’5″ Gig Harbor High School
We have already talked about Luke Browne Luke Browne 6'6" | SG Gig Harbor | 2023 State WA for Gig Harbor, now we will talk about the second part to the two-headed monster that Gig Harbor has. Will always attacks the rim forcefully, often times rising above his defenders to slam it home. Will is one of the best shooters off the catch in the class, easily since he often sinks the deep shot consistently. His high IQ stands out on defense, when he often jumps in front of passes and takes it to the hoop. Gig Harbor is bound for another big season next year, with Will and Luke running the show.
19) Luke Navarre Luke Navarre 6'5" | SG Zillah | 2023 State WA -6’5″ Zillah High School
Luke has a very smooth game, as it seems like everything comes natural for the 6’4″ wing. Luke is exceptionally effective when working off the dribble, easily sinking the mid-range shot when getting by his defenders. Luke can also knock it down from long range, and finishes at the rim efficiently. He is crafty for his size, so he’s able to finish around traffic. Navarre’s mid-range shot is at it’s best when he’s working off a catch and shoot from the free throw line, as he rarely misses those shots. Zillah had multiple players who could drop 30 on any night, Luke will look to lead Zillah to another solid year during is senior year net season.
20) Jamil Miller Jamil Miller 6'6" | SG Gonzaga Prep | 2023 State WA -6’4″ Gonzaga Prep
Jamil is a big time athlete, one of the most athletic players in the class of 2023. Looking at Miller, he is built like a college player. His 6’4″ 200 pound frame helps him on both sides of the court. He is not afraid to attack his defenders, no matter their size, to get a big dunk or a tough lay-up in traffic. Miller thrives in transition, being able to use his speed to drive by defenders, to get the finish. He is just as dangerous with the ball in his hand at the top of the key, using his crafty dribbling ability when defenders guard him closely. He is bound for a big year with Gonzaga Prep next year, as college continue to keep their eye on Miller.
