Tyrell Ward Tyrell Ward 6'7" | SF DeMatha | 2022 State #56 Nation MD | DeMatha
Ranking: No. 3
Ward recently announced his de-commitment from Xavier as a result of the firing of Travis Steele. The 6-foot-7 wing is a proven three-level scorer who led DeMatha this season alongside Virginia Tech commit Rodney Rice Rodney Rice 6'4" | CG DeMatha | 2022 State #89 Nation MD . There has been rumors that Ward could end up re-committing to Xavier given his relationship with assistant coach Jordan Brooks, but plenty of other programs will attempt to enter the sweepstakes for the No. 3 player in the state.
Bryce Lindsay Bryce Lindsay 6'2" | CG St. Frances | 2022 State MD | St. Frances
Ranking: No. 8
Lindsay was another prospect who unfortunately had to de-commit from his college selection that was South Carolina due to a coaching change. The 6-foot-3 point guard is one of the most dangerous shooters on the market and came through time-and-time again in clutch moments for the Panthers. Some programs who have reached out to Lindsay include Georgia, ETSU, West Virginia, Boston College and Virginia.
Tyson Commander Tyson Commander 6'4" | SG The John Carroll School | 2022 State #203 Nation MD | John Carroll
Ranking: No. 9
Commander is set to to a post-grad prep season at Mt. Zion, but we do not officially move prospect who elect to go that route until the summer of. Commander plans to spend his spring/summer playing with Team Durant on the EYBL Circuit and has a chance to boost his stock given his shooting ability, his size at 6-foot-4 and his improved athleticism.
Elijah Jones Elijah Jones 6'8" | C Mt. Zion Prep | 2022 State MD | Mt. Zion Prep
Ranking: No. 15
Jones had some bright moments for the Warriors this season. His size at 6-foot-8 makes him a presence inside at both ends. He seemed to improve his mid-range and face-up game as the season progressed and when he was locked in defensively, he could make a major impact on the game. Last time I spoke with Jones it seemed that Austin Peay was the program making a push for him, but his recruitment remains open.
Kyle Pulliam Kyle Pulliam 6'3" | SG Good Counsel | 2022 State MD | Good Counsel
Ranking: No. 19
Pulliam should be nearing a decision in the very near future as the 6-foot-3 southpaw caught attention from a number of programs this winter. His smooth, savvy and well-balanced approach makes it easy to assume that he will translate well at the college level. While he had impressive outing as both a scorer and distributor, Pulliam’s best days on the basketball floor are still ahead of him.
Devon Barnes Devon Barnes 6'1" | PG Mt. Zion Prep | 2022 State MD | Mt. Zion Prep
Ranking: No. 20
Barnes really focused on becoming more polished as a point guard and reading the game from the position. He had spurts where he looked really good in that fashion all while staying aggressive as a scorer. He’s a 5-foot-11 floor general who can really fill it up from three and cause some problems for his matchups as a defender. Barnes recruitment is a little unknown at this point, but could be a quality addition for a college program.
