Already being an unorthodox lefty so he is hard to guard, he has the ability to bring you out with his jump shot or rise above you and finish with a flush at the rim. TJ has shown plenty of times this season that if you give him baseline he won’t think twice about dunking it no matter who is at the rim. As Tj continues to grow as a player he will showcase more his ability to hit the 3. With TJ athleticism, this might be his biggest weapon on the defensive end. His ability to keep up with quicker and smaller guards, he also has the size and length to block shots at the rim against one who enters the paint. Williams has a high IQ and knows how to play without fouling, seems like he does everything right and this is why he has a bright future.
Mozae Downing- The 6’4″ guard for Lawrence free state is a do it all guard! With his frame and him weighing at 195, he has no problems getting to the rim and finishing through contact. Downing is an elite passer, he seems to not only know where his teammates like to score the ball at, but he also knows where they are going to be at. He always finds a way to get the ball in the right spot rather its a no look drop off pass to the post, or a hook pass to the open shooter, he finds a way. Although he is a fantastic passer, don’t gameplan around it. His ability to score the ball is often overlooked because of how much his teammates usually fills it up. Downing can get to the rim, mid range and even recently added the 3pt shot to his game. Mozae isn’t a player you want to see on the other end of the court, he brings just as much defense as he does offense.
Jordan Brown Jordan Brown 6'2" | SG St Francis | 2022 State GA – Jordan “JB” Brown is what you call a rare 3 level scorer. Brown can finish at the rim with finesse or with contact. Everyone knows how much he loves to shoot the 3 and is really good at it, but what makes him so special is the ability to score from the mid range area. Many won’t find this part of basketball entertaining but Jordan does by filling up points on the board quickly! If Jordan can get hot early, you may be in for a long night because there isn’t much you can do from there.
Chase Harris Chase Harris 6'2" | CG Wichita Heights | 2022 State KS – Chase is one of heights key ingredients to the success they’ve had so far. One thing you need to know about him is that he is fast! His ability to turn what should be a 5on5 quickly turns into a transition fast break with the ball in Harris hands. Time after time again, opposing team shoots it, chase gets the rebound and by the time you look up he out ran 2 players ready to finish on the 3rd person at the rim. Thats not the only thing he uses his quickness for, his active hands gets him a lot of steals for the falcons. He doesn’t get every ball but worst case scenario he gets a deflection and it makes teams think twice about passing it to his side of the court. When chase doesn’t have the ball don’t help off of him too much, Harris can shoot the 3 and does it with confidence even with a hand in his face.
Landon Wagler Landon Wagler 6'8" | PF Shawne Mission Northwest | 2022 State KS – Landon is a mismatch problem, some will even call him a “walking bucket”. What I’ve seen from him, I haven’t seen many do. Most players have the ability to pull off his moves but not the guts to do so. From curling into his shot shooting off balance 3s, to spinning off 2 defenders and finishing at the rim, to posting up smaller guards and not caring about the double team that’s coming, its safe to say the senior for Shawnee mission northwest high school isn’t going out this season without a bang! At 6’5″ he causes a lot of problems for a lot of guards. Wagler is one you love to watch, from his fade-aways, to deep range 3s, to double clutch lay ups, there isn’t anything that’s not exciting in his game.
