Yorkville Christian defeats Lexington 71-33
Duke commit and top senior Jaden Schutt Jaden Schutt 6'5" | SG Yorkville Christian | 2022 State #42 Nation IL went for 22 points and 11 rebounds leading his team to Champaign as the prohibited favorites.
Liberty defeats Southeastern 49-42
We caught the first half of this game. Liberty is a good defensive team with a well-rounded squad. Their top scorer was Devin Klauser who had 21 points. Potential D1 prospect Danny Stephens Danny Stephens 6'7" | PF Southeastern | 2023 State IL scored 14 of his team high 19 points in the first half for Southeastern.
Steeleville defeats Macon Meridian 68-47
Zach Mevert led the way for Steeleville in an 18 point outing in the supers.
Scales Mound defeats Marshall 55-41
Ben Werner was the top scorer for Scales Mound with 20 points in the win.

Nashville defeats Teutopolis 44-18
What a defensive performance by Nashville. They held T-Town to 8 points through the first three quarters. Saxton Hoepker Saxton Hoepker 6'6" | PF Nashville | 2022 State IL is a small college gem big man who netted 16 points in the win.
DePaul Prep defeats Leo 50-43
The Catholic league battle was a close one throughout, but DePaul Prep pulled away late to advance to Champaign as the 2A favorite.
Monticello defeats Bloomington Central Catholic 62-44
This was another game we caught quite a bit of. Monticello is a balanced team that can really shoot the rock and defend. Their sharp shooter Dylan Ginalick went for 18 points and 10 boards. It was a quiet first half for BCC star Cole Certa Cole Certa 6'4" | SG IMG Academy | 2024 State #129 Nation FL but he did end up with 10 points.
Rockridge defeats Rockford Lutheran 57-52
Six three pointers and 30 points did the trick as Jase Whiteman led the way for Rockridge!

Simeon defeats Lemont 52-47
It was the breakout game on a big stage for top 10 junior Miles Rubin Miles Rubin 6'7" | PF Homewood Flossmoor | 2023 State #243 Nation IL as the Simeon four man went for 22 points in the win. Junior guard Matas Castillo Matas Castillo 5'11" | PG Lemont | 2023 State IL had 16 in the loss on the Lemont side.
St. Ignatius defeats St. Patrick 50-49
We were tuned into this double OT thriller. Ignatius got stops to end both regulation and OT. Then did it again with a one point lead to win the game. Kolby Gilles Kolby Gilles 6'7" | PF St Ignatius | 2022 State IL was a monster for Iggy in a 17 point outing using his athleticism, size, and quickness inside. Richard Barron Richard Barron 6'5" | SF St. Ignatius | 2023 State IL had 16 points as well. Brandon Adorno came on strong at the end of the season finishing this one with 20.
Metamora defeats Wheaton St. Francis 60-44
Metamora’s backcourt did work as Tyson Swanson Tyson Swanson 6'2" | SG Metamora | 2023 State IL scored 18 points and Zack Schroeder Zack Schroeder 6'2" | SG Metamora Township | 2022 State IL had 14 points sending them to Champaign.
Sacred Heart Griffin defeats East St. Louis 60-50
This was a huge win for this SHG group of juniors as they knocked off a super talented Flyers squad. Their stars as usual stepped up with Jake Hamilton Jake Hamilton 6'3" | SG Sacred Heart Griffin | 2023 State IL going for 16 points and Zach Hamilton netting 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. The East St. Louis stars did all they could with Mizzou signee Christian Jones Christian Jones 6'4" | SG East St. Louis | 2022 State IL going for 14 points and high flying senior Macaleab Rich Macaleab Rich 6'5" | SF East St. Louis | 2023 State #261 Nation IL having 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Whitney Young defeats Kenwood 75-62

NIU commit Xavier Amos Xavier Amos 6'7" | PF Whitney Young | 2022 State #233 Nation IL had 19 points while his junior point guard Dalen Davis Dalen Davis 6'0" | PG Whitney Young | 2023 State #167 Nation IL went for 18 points. The Kenwood junior duo did their thing as Darrin Ames Darrin Ames 6'1" | PG Kenwood | 2023 State #99 Nation IL put on a show with 21 points while Davius Loury Davius Loury 6'8" | PF Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ had 16.
Glenbard West defeats Larkin 60-34
Another game. Another blowout. If this team wins it all they might do down as one of the best in this century. Gonzaga commit Braden Huff Braden Huff 6'11" | PF Glenbard West | 2022 State #58 Nation IL nets 15 points while the state’s top unsigned senior Bobby Durkin Bobby Durkin 6'6" | SF Hinsdale South | 2022 State IL had 14. North Dakota State commit Damari Wheeler-Thomas Damari Wheeler-Thomas 6'0" | PG Larkin | 2022 State IL capped his career with a 20 point performance for Larkin.
Barrington defeats Glenbrook South 52-50
Most thought the winner of GBS vs New Trier would cruise to state. Barrington said “Not So Fast My Friend!” Will Grudzinski Will Grudzinski 6'6" | PF Barrington | 2022 State IL was money in this one as the skilled and versatile forward committed to Washington University in St. Louis had 16 points in the win in his matchup with Elon commit Nick Martinelli Nick Martinelli 6'6" | SF Glenbrook South | 2022 State #235 Nation IL who finished with 18 points.
Bolingbrook defeats Quincy 49-42
Coach Brost does damage in March! That’s what this program has done for years.
