Cleveland on PG Tate Petersen Tate Petersen 6'1" | PG Monticello | 2023 State IA (Monticello): “Tate is a born leader. He was an all-state performer, all-conference performer, all-state tourney team, led his team in many categories, and makes the right plays nearly all the time. He has gained a lot of traction. One of the top guards in the state not only in his class but overall. Can shoot lights out, play solid defense, attack, and score when he wants, and gets others involved.”
Cleveland on PF Zane Witt Zane Witt 6'6" | PF Camanche | 2023 State IA (Camanche): “Zane will play a huge part in our season. He’s coming off a very solid year for Camanche. He’s a dominant figure in the paint on both ends of the floor and can use his size to his advantage.”
Cleveland on SF Matthew Watters Matthew Watters 6'2" | SF Central DeWitt | 2023 State IA (Central DeWitt): “Matthew is just a hard-working, non-stop motor type player. He can beat you from the perimeter, lock you up defensively, and has one of the most explosive bursts of speed with the ball I’ve seen in a long time. He was a huge part of the state tournament run for DeWitt and will be an even bigger factor next year.”
Cleveland on SG Hayden Jacobsmeier Hayden Jacobsmeier 6'0" | SG Senior | 2023 State IA (Dubuque Senior): “Hayden is a very crafty guard that can get to the rim, draw fouls, and score at will. He is great with the ball and also plays well off the ball. He can cause some defensive mismatches with his size and ability to move with the ball towards the rim.”
Cleveland on PF Luke Klostermann (Assumption): “Luke is the absolute definition of a workhorse. He’s a big part of any team he is on because he does every single little thing the team needs and always does it at 100%. He has a spark offensively also where he can score either at the rim on the block, mid-range, and/or deep.”

31 | Josh Wiersema | 5’9 | Camanche |
Cleveland on SF Ben Bockman Ben Bockman 6'5" | SF Decorah | 2024 State IA (Decorah): “Ben helped Decorah to one of its best seasons ever. He’s a versatile player who has extreme range from the outside and can also utilize his size to score against nearly anybody. He has always had the task, since he started with us in 7th grade, to guard some big guys on the block and has excelled in that. He’s a huge threat on both ends of the floor and is continuing to grow his game and stature.”
Cleveland on PF David Gorsline David Gorsline 6'2" | SG Pleasant Valley | 2024 State IA (Pleasant Valley): “David also exemplifies the definition of a workhorse. He gets every loose ball and (makes) every single play the team needs. He’s a lockdown defender using his strength and quickness outside and inside and has expanded his game to become a scoring threat also. He was one of the top rebounders in the state on a top-3 4A team, which is very impressive.”
Cleveland on PG Peyton Schilling (Monticello): “Peyton had a great year with Monti and helped them in their starting rotation all year. He can shoot from the outside and gets the job done defensively also. He’s a team player to the max and wants the best for whatever the group needs.”
Cleveland on PG Sage Suntken (West Fork): “Sage is one of the most dangerous players in his class, and needs to be put on people’s radars.
He is an extremely solid guard who has started for West Fork this past year and was a huge part of their offense. He knows how to make every smart play, has a killer mid-range and deep shot, and has a burst
off the dribble to get to the rim and score at will using his strength and smarts to draw fouls and score.”
Cleveland on PG Aiden Heth (Cedar Falls): “Aiden has developed into a more confident shooter and overall player. Played some great minutes for the CF sophomore team and suited up at the end of the year for varsity during their state run. Can do some great things with the ball and can hit the shot when the team needs it.”
Cleveland on PF Cooper Webb Cooper Webb 6'7" | SF Iowa City Liberty | 2024 State IA (Liberty): “Cooper is another who has been with us since 7th grade. He started with us as about a 5-10 “big” at that time. He has developed his game into a very unique one at that. He is lights out from deep, and for his size that is scary. He can score and get fouled in the paint. He cleans up the glass and also is a shot blocker at the rim defensively. Will and should be a huge part of the Liberty varsity team next year.”

State
IA
(Pleasant Valley): “Coy is a hard-nosed PG who gets the job done with his smart IQ of the game, and ability to
always find open teammates. He is a defender other guards should not want to have to bring the ball up against as he will always fight to make the opposition work.”

Head coach: Zach Schlabaugh
Note: Cleveland said that they plan to add a few more players to this roster.
Number | Player | Height | School |
1 | Chase Christiansen | 6’0 | Northeast, Goose Lake |
2 | Teagan Voss | 5’9 | Liberty |
3 | Tyson Seeser | 6’2 | Camanche |
8 | Ryan Watters | 6’6 | Central DeWitt |
15 | Carson Lambert | 6’2 | Monticello |
20 | Evan O’Donnell | 6’0 | Liberty |
22 | Ian Witt | 6’4 | Camanche |
23 | Austin Goodrich Austin Goodrich 6'1" | SG Marion | 2025 State IA | 5’10 | Anamosa |
Cleveland on PF Ryan Watters (Central DeWitt): “Ryan is the younger brother of 17U Matthew and has developed into somewhat of a dominant figure. He had his coming-out party at the state tourney helping DeWitt reach success. He can score it on the block and hit the mid-range when you need him to. And he secures every rebound in his path. Ryan is destined to be a great player not only this year (and the next three years) for the Mavs, but for DeWitt as well. I could see him being a POY candidate in the next three years in the MAC.”
Cleveland on SF Tyson Seeser (Camanche): “Tyson uses his athleticism to perfection. He has established a perimeter shot and has a bounce when he gets to the rim like many upperclassmen in the state do. As a freshman, he is well ahead of many at his age level and has a huge upside.”
Cleveland on SG Carson Lambert (Monticello): “Carson is the son (and nephew) of coaches and plays like it. He has a great basketball IQ and carries himself with poise and precision. He can hit the outside shot and plays at a level ahead of many others at his level. He will be a big part of the Panthers in years to come.”
