Northview 68, Muskegon 55
Last night, I was out at Grand Haven High School for the highly anticipated Division 1 Regional Semifinal between Muskegon and Northview. It was arguably the game of the year in West Michigan and deserving of a Regional Championship matchup. Northview led 13-10 after the first then outscored Muskegon 15-9 in the second to take a 28-19 lead into the half. Muskegon was aggressive in getting to the basket and racked up the fouls against Northview as a result. However, the Big Reds struggled at the free-throw line all night and couldn’t cut into the lead even with Mr. Basketball finalist, Kyler Vandejagt sitting for a large part of the first half.
