Rankings Review: Class of 2024 Stock-Risers

The class of 2024 has a ton of talent within the 100 plus players that comprise the latest version of the rankings. There were stock risers galore within the 110 member list. In this rankings review, we will highlight the stock risers in this class. Some of these players will definitely be players to watch as we move into the grassroots season.
Jordan Moore Jordan Moore 6'4" | CG Hahnville | 2024 State LA (#7 to #4) – Moore was already a top ten player but he moved into the top five in the last rankings update. He is super quick changing ends in transition and has the ability to rise above others and throw it down is very impressive. Moore has improved his outside shot as well which makes him dangerous from all three levels.
McKennis Savoie McKennis Savoie 6'2" | CG North Central | 2024 State LA (#14 to #11) – The high flying guard from North Central is on the cusp of the top ten because he has a ton of potential. Savoie can get to the cup in a hiccup and his finishing ability is next level. His shooting prowess and mid-range game is improving which will spell trouble for teams in Class 1A.
Turner Duncan Turner Duncan 6'3" | PG St. Augustine | 2024 State LA (#56 to #14) – The guard from St. Augustine may end up being the best point guard in the class. Duncan has a mature upper body mixed with high level shooting ability. He is a guard that is always on balance and can score at all three levels. His ability to run an offense will make him dangerous wherever he catches the ball.
Taj Jackson Taj Jackson 6'2" | CG Ponchatoula | 2024 State LA (#24 to #18) – Jackson is one of the reasons that Liberty has a bright future in Division II. When it comes to attacking the rim from the perimeter, Jackson is very good. He can also shoot the ball adequately from deep which opens up those driving lanes. Look for Jackson to be a primary cog in the Liberty offense next season.
Chris Leman Chris Leman 6'7" | PF Newman | 2024 NLG (#23 to #19) – Leman is constantly active around the rim and is very active on the offensive boards. He has a quick second jump which helps him with rebounding. Leman is also able to step out and nail the outside jumper. He is proficient at the short range jumper and is more consistent from three. His ability to stretch the floor makes him very dangerous on the hardwood.
Jordan Comanche Jordan Comanche 6'6" | CG Wossman | 2024 State LA (#36 to #21) – Comanche is a long wing with a feathery touch. He can play on the perimeter off the ball. If his team wants to go with a big lineup, he can actually play the point. His game is not predicated on him having the ball which makes him more versatile than a lot of other wings in any class.
Andre Sowell Andre Sowell 6'2" | SG Lakeview | 2024 State LA (#72 to #23) – Sowell is one of the most explosive players in this class. He is dynamic on the wing in transition and can bring the house down when he elevates. If Sowell scores on the break, it only increases his confidence. He can go on scoring streaks of his own. Sowell is one hard player to stop when he gets going.
Jaylin Johnson Jaylin Johnson 6'3" | SG Alexandria | 2024 State LA (#49 to #25) – Johnson is one of those guards who can do a little bit of everything. He can attack from the wing and spot up behind the arc. His ability to rebound and push is valuable as a guard. Johnson does not make a lot of mistakes when the ball is in his hands. He is definitely a difference maker.
Amir Chaney Amir Chaney 5'9" | PG Zachary | 2024 State LA (#46 to #28) – When it comes to be a floor general, there are not many better than Chaney. His ability to dictate play and direct an offense is at a high level. Chaney also has a consistent jump shot that he can make from anywhere. Those two traits make him a guard that is very difficult to stop.
Cornelius Brown Cornelius Brown 5'9" | PG Kennedy | 2024 State LA (#52 to #32) – Brown is an athletic, ultra quick guard who can finish at the rim with the best of them. When he attempts an acrobatic finish, he is very good at using the rim to protect it. Brown has a quick burst also which gets him to the paint in a hurry. He has high level scoring ability and shows it when he is on the floor.
