Coming out of Bossier City, Louisiana, O.W.E otherwise known a Out Work Everybody has been a quickly rising club team southern United States. Founded by Vic Morris, a student of the game who played point guard at Cleveland State on top of his professional experience across Europe. Morris originally hails from East Michigan where he played high school varsity all four years on top of multiple state championship titles. After his high school and collegiate careers up North, he went to play point guard in Europe, including the German Pro A league (2nd best German league) before they won the championship and moved up to Germany’s top league the Bundesliga. Morris was also able to play in Hungary and Finland, all of which were beneficial professional experiences.
Founding O.W.E.
What led Morris to create O.W.E. started during his professional overseas career, where he would stop by in the summer to the Michigan region assisting with training sessions for individual athletes and local club teams. After his playing career, in 2012, he moved down to Louisiana where he helped coach Louisiana Select Millsap and jumpstarted his AAU outlook. Last summer was the first season of O.W.E. where they had a 17u boys and girls team and a 16u girls team. This season they will look to add multiple boys teams, including 17u, 16u, 15u, and 14u boys.
The team is built on the family culture that includes everyone from coaches to athletes to parents. Their goal is to not only create a tradition for years to come, but become one of Louisiana’s biggest clubs. The goal remains the same, create avenues for next level education for athletes by making them successful men and women on and off the court.
Recent athletes who played for O.W.E. that made to the next level are D’Marcus Hall, a freshman at Louisiana Monroe, Daniel Ortiz a freshman at North Alabama, and Sedric Applewhite Sedric Applewhite 6'6" | SF Bossier | 2022 State LA at McNeese State football.
