The high school season provided us with an opportunity to go deep and evaluate prospects of all levels. Several players used the season as an opportunity to put their names on the map. In this article, a follow-up to new additions Vol 1, we breakdown some of the new additions to the rankings.
Michael Bartlett Michael Bartlett 6'3" | SF Democracy Prep | 2024 State NV 6’3 SF Durango (#58) – Bartlett spent most of his time playing on JV, however, he made the most of his minutes. He has a decent frame, and a skill set to go with it. The wing can score off dribble drives, or get out and catch and finish in transition. Bartlett makes the list, cracking the top 60 in his first appearance.
Christin Haylock Christin Haylock 6'0" | SG Somerset Losee | 2024 State NV 6’0 SG Somerset Losee (#57) (featured image) – Haylock is into the rankings after a strong sophomore season for a Losee team that reached the 3A final four. He likes to score in transition but has also shown some good 1 v 1 ability. After putting up nearly 8 per game, he earned a spot in the rankings.
Elijah Flowers Elijah Flowers 6'2" | SG Valley | 2024 State NV 6’0 SG Valley (#54) – Flowers played the role of glue guy, and parlayed it into a rankings spot. He showed that his ability to defend multiple backcourt positions, has value, and his overall energy and effort tangibly impact games. Although most of his effort was spent on defense, he did show that he has the ability to score in transition.
Giosue Gaeta Giosue Gaeta 6'2" | CG Reed | 2024 State NV 6’2 SG Sage Ridge (#53) – Got a look at Gaeta during the state tournament and I liked him. He’s an active player, that impacted games in other ways than just scoring, including defending and rebounding. The fact that he can also score the basketball is what landed him in the rankings for the first time.
Rahjon Chambers Rahjon Chambers 6'1" | SG Legacy | 2024 State NV 6’1 SG Legacy (#52) – Chambers made the most of his first time playing in front of me. I showed up to watch Legacy and Cheyenne, and the sophomore guard stole the show. Chambers is a big-time shooter, with the ability to change the scoreboard from behind the line. His number 52 ranking is a reflection of his production and shot-making ability for Legacy.
Tony Pignatello Tony Pignatello 5'8" | PG Clark | 2024 State NV 5’8 PG Clark (#44) – Pignatello is a throwback PG. He’s the type of player that can help a team without shooting the ball. A consummate floor general, Pignatello is a pass-first PG that is always looking to find the open man. His ball security and team leadership were valuable enough to land him inside the top 50 in his class.
