The Patriots usually rely on strong guard play throughout the year. Tonight, [player_tooltip player_id="1225776" first="Brenton" last="Elliott"] and [player_tooltip player_id="930612" first="Jimeion" last="Brown"] were too much to handle inside the paint. Elliott finished the game with 14 points with most of his damage coming around the bucket. Brenton was active on the glass along with stalking the baseline for the Patriots.

Brown a run-jump-athlete was a pogo stick all night long with his play. Jimeion is a very quick leaper off the floor and kept his motor on go all night long. Brown finished with 12 points with that just being just extremely active on both ends of the floor.

Backcourt Trio

[player_tooltip player_id="930604" first="LaDarian" last="McCree"], [player_tooltip player_id="746056" first="Kory" last="Davis"] and [player_tooltip player_id="746059" first="Kendall" last="Davis"] form a great trio for the Patriots. All three of these seniors have been the backbone for the team's success this season. McCree finished with 8 points tonight but was able to get the ball into the paint when needed and showed great body control to the basket.

Kory Davis and [player_tooltip player_id="746059" first="Kendall" last="Davis"] TAKE CHARGES on COMMAND. These set of twins are winners and underappreciated at times for their efforts on the floor. The duo just plays the game the right way. They execute on both ends, make shots, make the extra pass, help a teammate up off the floor, sacrifice their bodies for a loose ball or an even better a CHARGE. This trio of guards here for the Patriots will make some college programs very happy in the years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id="936270" first="Jamian" last="Risher"] first was seen by Prep Hoops a few seasons back when they knocked off Marion HS on the road in the playoffs. Risher a football recruit played his last high school basketball game this evening. Jamian a left-handed guard was an All-State selection for the Red Devils. Risher finished the game with 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id="1127744" first="Isaac" last="Gray"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1354735" first="Brendon" last="Brantley"] will be back next season for the Red Devils. Gray a guard averaged 12.6 ppg this season while Brantley chipped in at 13 ppg. Issac plays for his father Romon Gray on the roster while Brantley is a slender-sleek shooting guard.
