2025 Macon Adkison Macon Adkison 6'1" | PG Santa Fe | 2025 State TN (Santa Fe)
Macon’s lower-body balance was excellent in a must-win game hosting West Carroll. Adkison’s skill at such a young age was impressive. There are limitations at this early point (strength, explosion), but the offensive coherence was at an elite level for a high school freshman. Adkison got into the mid-range and pulled-up with confidence and touch. He got his shot off quickly and in still rhythm. For Adkison the next steps are going to align nicely with the typical physical maturation of the male athlete. He will need to get better “push-off” after he makes a sharp cut to create separation. This comes with stronger legs and more time in the weight room. Adkison’s body just needs to grow up, simply put. Interestingly, Santa Fe Head Coach Brad Slaughter assigned Adkison to defend Jalen Anglin Jalen Anglin 6'4" | PG West Carroll | 2022 State TN one-on-one the entire game! Can this be an indication of Macon’s defensive acumen? Jalen had a wonderful game, so there is no way that Macon made a name for himself off that defensive performance. He was dominated, as have many before him, by Anglin. Offensively, Macon is clever with a lot of creativity with the basketball. His game reminds a little bit of Matthew Sells (Livingston Academy graduate), another player that played often as a freshman.

2022 Jalen Anglin Jalen Anglin 6'4" | PG West Carroll | 2022 State TN (West Carroll)
The senior dominated at Santa Fe High School Monday night with that trip to Murfreesboro on the line. He drove around the court with the innovation of a stunt-driver. You want Euro’s? Here are two. Anglin set up on the block, during a designed play, and simply caught the feed, rose up, and finished an and-1. Jalen’s game included fullcourt pressure breaks, of his own creation. Anglin hit runners in traffic. He made a floafer in the first half. Anglin attacked from the wing with a high glass finish. The game featured a wonderfully diverse and wholly unsurprising catalog of moves. Jalen Anglin Jalen Anglin 6'4" | PG West Carroll | 2022 State TN belongs in the Class A State Tournament, and bizarrely will be pitted against another D1-talent in Jordan McCullum Jordan McCullum 6'8" | SF Harriman | 2024 State TN . Anglin’s recruitment is more pressing though, as he graduates in two months. This kind of fantastic performance was timely for him and helped introduce his game to new eyeballs.
2022 Gavin Burleson Gavin Burleson 6'4" | PG Summertown | 2022 TN (Summertown)
The senior extended his season and firmly entrenched his reputation in Summertown lore with a halfcourt, game-tying, buzzer-beater against surprise upstart Gibson County in the Sectional Final. Gavin’s success at the free throw line in the overtime put the game out of reach. He will never forget that game, nor should he. It was unforgettable.
2023 Jaylen Jones Jaylen Jones 6'0" | PG East Nashville | 2023 State #178 Nation TN (East Nashville)
The Eagles of East Nashville ripped Jackson County in their Sectional Championship Game. Inarguably, Jaylen Jones Jaylen Jones 6'0" | PG East Nashville | 2023 State #178 Nation TN was masterful, dominant, and incomparably brilliant. Often, a “city’ school will win with size, but East Nashville’s scoring feast was courtesy of Chef JJ. Jones entered the game a Top 10 prospect. Can he retain the #1 point guard spot in 2023? Yes. He can. This game truly showcased him as an unstoppable terror through passing, dribbling, and shooting. He did everything and did it better than most fans of his realized he was capable. Jaylen’s reputation enjoyed yet another skyrocketing.
